I loved the cobblestone streets. Such a great vibe. I went during the day and at night. 100% recommend to anyone traveling to Baltimore
It's fun to wander around this historic waterfront area of the city which is an odd combination of upscale restaurants and hotels and a lingering seediness. If you watched Homicide, Life on the Streets, you can see the old building used for the show's police headquarters.
I love this area. It is a nice residential area with a very active culture. If you can stay in this part of town once, you won't regret it. We really liked walking around the wharf and seeing all the yachts. There are some really neat buildings and cool things to look at if you are willing to walk and wander. We had dinner over on the other side of the harbor and walked back. If the weather is nice, definitely a nice walk. I wish we had just one more day to explore this part of town, we really loved it. We usually stay in the Inner Harbor and this was a nice change.
As cities age, industry changes, what was once bustling can turn into decaying empty warehouses. Baltimore was fortunate enough to realize that people would make the difference and so today there's a lot of trendy shops, restaurants and living spaces in this once abandoned waterfront.
Great part of Baltimore. Just full of restaurants and bars and little shops. Great place to spend some time when you are visiting the city.
I can remember not so many years ago when it was pretty sketchy. Now, homes have been renovated, restaurants have arrived, etc.
Old town feeling, brick streets, great restaurants, nice little personal shops, arrived by water taxi from Downtown Baltimore.
Stayed one night at the Admiral Fell Hotel... Very beautiful and very old... The area is filled with historic buildings that are either restored or in the process of being restored... Right on the water in the heart of the Inner Harbor renovation. Ate at Bertha's and marveled at the history of the building... Food was excellent too!
A total blast! Great shopping, bars, rest, beautiful great food very quaint town! The saloon is really great and the admiral inn is the place to stay
This is a really fun area with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. It has a bunch of things packed into a few cobblestone blocks, so it gives you lots of options and seems to have something for everyone.
Fells point is a great area to visit. There are endless little shops, restaurants, and a farmers market on Saturdays ( maybe every other Saturday). Part of this area is also right on the water. There are some very old homes and buildings here, and it might be fun to take a formal tour of the area. Since we are here often , we haven't done a formal tour . Baltimore is a wonderfully historic city, and I think you will enjoy this area.
A foot of snow and an engagement...what could be better! Fell's point is awesome-all the bars, restaurants and people make the area a fabulous place to enjoy yourself, and in the case CELEBRATE!!!
Fells Point is a great place to go to you if live or are visiting the Baltimore area. It has the old world feel with it's cobble stone streets and beautiful waterfront views. It's a great place to shop, eat and hear live music. Some of the musts if you go are a stop at the Cat's Eye on Thames St. for exciting live music. One of our favorite things to do is on a Saturday afternoon is to stroll along the waterfront then stop by and hear some great live bands at the Cat's Eye. Afterwards are tastebuds are satisfied at Kooper's (Thames St). They have a delicious bison burgers! If you are looking for finer dining The Waterfront Kitchen has a great dining experience as it is located on the water with a beautiful view. Stop by the Horse You Came in On to see one of the oldest taverns in Baltimore. Enjoy!
The atmosphere is great! It is less touristy that the Inner Harbor and that's what I lkike about it. There are some really cute little places to eat, drink and shop! Love Duda's Tavern for an Oriole game on the telly and great onion rings. Also love Slainte for a taste of Ireland!
Enjoyed walking the cobblestone streets. Visited the the "horse you rode in on Saloon" oldest bourbon club saloon in the country don't miss a visit to this establishment. Has great bourbon choices that are on tap and a great atmosphere.
