Loved the incredible views of the harbor from above. Also, they are displaying many things from the World Trade Center in New York City. A must see!
this was a great stop along our Inner Harbor tour. It gave us a great vantage point of the city. I highly recommend!
You could see for miles and got a history lesson too. I didn't know a whole lot about Baltimore so it was very interesting to me and my husband
My boyfriend and I LOVED the top of the world observation deck! For just $5 each we went up and got to see the beautiful city and beyond at sunset. It was absolutely gorgeous and something I recommend for all visitors to Baltimore!
Great view of the entire city including inner harbor as building is at inner harbor. Full length windows, "Find This" paper for younger children.
We visited here and I didn't realize there would be a beautiful tribute to 9/11. All of the names etched in glass, piece of the world trade center (NY) The marble outside the building. I enjoyed this very much.
The best view of Baltimore period. Set at the foot of Inner Harbor, the World Trade Center offers great views of the waters. Watch water taxis, cruse ships, and paddle boats roam the water. Look out far into the water, see the views of the city. Look at the skyline and the mass buildings that makes of Baltimore. Signs inside tell you what you are looking at. Exhibits around the deck deepen a person's knowledge of the city. Lean the names of the neighborhoods in the city, learn the events held yearly, learn the city's bet known citizen's, learn about the ship trade. An exhibit on 9/11 victims, particularly Maryland victims, are new to the deck, as well as the walkway below. Best of all it is inside so weather isn't a problem. Cold or hot, sun or rain, war and dry. The views are the best way to start a trip to Baltimore, see the city and learn about it. Two for one deal.
I would definitely recommend taking in the views of Baltimore and its harbor from the 27th Floor of the World Trade Center. If you have a clear day like we did, pictures are amazing! It was so nice to sit back and watch the dragon boats scattering about in the water from above. If you go, plan on spending 30-45 minutes.PS - If this review was helpful, please click the "YES" box. Top of the World is located on top of the World Trade Centre which is easy to miss - we came across it by chance just walking around the harbour. It's the pantagon-shaped building that looks like it's half in the water, between pier 3 (which has the aquarium on it) and the Harbour Place Gallery. Entry is through a glass door on either side, you buy your ticket downstairs and are directed to the elevator which you take to the 27th floor. From the top, you have a fantastic 360° view of Balitmore, so bring your camera. The walls are almost entirely glass so you can see everything and take pictures and there are info posters everywhere telling you what you're looking at and a bit more about some of the buildings. In addition, there are very knowledgable, friendly guides there who are very happy to explain things to you as well. It's almost like being on a city tour except you're looking at everything from above. There is also a 9/11 memorial with names of the Maryland victims and various pieces from all three crash sites. Admission is $5 (without concession, might be less for seniors, kids, etc).
There are great 360 degree views of the city and a wonderful little 9/11 memorial. Ask them to explain what the notches on the outside monument represent. It is touching.
The memorial and special section on 9/11 is worth the entire trip. Price? Only $4.00 p/p for seniors! Even on an ugly winter day we could see all of Baltimore even to Chesapeake Bay. Do it!
Great view of the harbor and Baltimore, Baltimore is a beautiful city! Had a Groupon, spent about 15 minutes at the observation level.
We decided to take trip up to the observation tower after finding a groupon discount online. It was a beautiful sunny day which made for some excellent pictures of the city. It truly gives you a 360 view of the inner harbor and surrounding areas including the stadiums. They also have a nice section that pays tribute to the victims of September 11 including artifacts from all 3 crash sites.
I've lived in Baltimore for 8 years now and visited several times before I lived here, but I had never gone to The Top of the World observation deck before. This weekend friends were in town and they wanted the "tourist" treatment, so we went. I must say, it was an amazing few. Because it was clear, you could see for miles in every direction. Not only was the view amazing, but the information throughout the observation deck gave lots of information about the area. There was also a new 9/11 exhibit which was very well done and moving. It was a very nice tribute to all of the victims, especially to those who were Marylanders. For only $5 per adult, it was well worth it. You may also be able to get a deal on Groupon.
As the song state on a clear day you can see forever. Also a wonderful tribute to those who lost their lives on Sept.11th .
