This place is the bees knees! Great seating, with a place to put your food and drink. Community feeling. Great popcorn. I strongly recommend seeing a movie here if the time and movie is right.

Good prices, good popcorn and next door to terrific burrito place-you can bring the food into the theater to eat during the movie. They have first-run movies and special events, like international films. Support your local businesses and give it a try!

This will bring you back to a small time movie theater. The people who run it are friendly and answer all your questions about the current movie. The seats are old and not as comfortable as the ones in mega movie theaters but they are part of the nostalgia of the place. It's a fun place to see a movie with your kids or just a date or mate. They do run currant movies but not in HD. If you want a great experience try it you'll like it!

This is a great little place to catch a flick. A real vintage thrill, but the seats are roomy and the room has a nice vibe.

This is a true treasure. The feel, smell, even the occasional frustration of a locally owned and operated town cinema make this a fun place to see a movie with a friend of even by yourself. You don't go to see crystal clear HD or 3-D images> You go for the fun of it. Buy the pop corn, get some candy, have a soda, and enjoy yourself without leaving town.

My 02138 sister in law SO loved this theatre: no cost parking, nice people, and GREAT MOVIES!We love this place! It is not multiplexed, but Belmont usually chooses GREAT movies! Seats are a tad... proven, but nice people and fine popcorn make this a wonderful theatre!

The Belmont Studio Cinema is on of the less discovered places in the Boston area. This is one of the few places left where you can actually see a movie on a big screen, which is just great. Plus, they often have first run screenings. The owner is a great guy with lots of interests - he's opening a coffee and burrito place next door (Cafe Burrito). The lobby is interesting with an eclectic mix of movie stuff. The theater manager is friendly. If desired, popcorn is served with Vermont Creamery butter. There are also a few other nearby places to eat. This is just fun if you like the old time theater experience. Cash only. Call first to check schedule. Best thing about the Belmont Studio Cinema is that it is the home of Belmont World Film, and international film series that runs every spring.
