Shopped at Village Gifts and had a wonderful experience. The owners are very friendly. The store is very clean and organized with a wide variety of merchandise. If you are looking for a gift, you should find it there.

~Our group of 5 seniors stopped here first on arrival in Eureka Springs. Plenty of free parking, too. The visitor's center alone is worth the stop. There are plenty of brochures, maps, a short film to see, clean restrooms, and a real person manning the desk to answer your questions. The village itself has some nice shops, though we were disappointed to learn that the Christmas Shop had closed... Nice ice cream parlor, though! This is also a stop on the trolley route.

The Eureka Springs Chamber Visitors Center is your first stop no matter from which direction you arrive. Follow the signage. They have super friendly staff, discount tickets to the attractions, maps and tons of local scoop. The Village has some GREAT unique shops, ample FREE parking right in front of the shops, trolley tickets and stops and an old forest tower you can climb for a breathtaking view. And it's FLAT walking around in their huge paved parking lot. The only reason it isn't a five is the big anchor store on one side has been empty for awhile and the ice cream store isn't always open but it really is a must stop destination.

We went and had a lot of fun looking around the different stores. The Christmas store has some interesting items and there were some unique crafts. Our favorite store by far was a store called "New Harvest." My grandmother was hesitant to go in ("A tasting room for basalmic vinegar and olive oil?!") but I love cooking and wanted something new and different so she tagged along. The two gentlemen were very polite and the store was well put together. They were both knowledgeable about their products and were able to let us shop around and gave us a little guidance when needed. My grandmother ended up loving it and we left with three bottles. Definitely a fun and interesting concept with excellent workers.

We love to go here. The Christmas store is nothing but tons of neat Christmas items, trees and all. Chamber of Commerce has a nice building with great area info. be sure to get info. there with a map, so yu can see just how much is at Eureka Springs. We have enjoyed coming here since 1986 a casual relaxing area. Ice Cream Parlor. "Ozarky" area we love to hear the Dulcemer music. Also like to watch the candles being made. The motels are close by, some within walking dist. of almost all areas. Check them out, there is a big difference in price, some of the smaller ones are clean & reasonable, others are not. The trolley is available to most areas. We love to eat at the nearby Forrest Hills buffet by Holiday Inn. We like the Pack Rat shop down town for nostalgia gifts & the Kalidescope on the upper level downtown, near the tastey Cinamon Roll shoppe. We also like the Surplus store next to the video store on the hwy. Explore all the streets don't just buzz thru main st. & the hwy. or you will miss too much. MUST wear comfortable walking shoes! Walking her is not comparable for flip flops or heels. Alot of Ozark rock steps & sidewalks that go up steep hills, but it is part of the unusual terrain with hills and caverns that make it fun. It is with in 30min - 1 hr. of other neat areas such as Roaring River State Park & fish hatchery (clear streams & camping- great park for families) Holiday Island Village, Pea Ridge Ark. Civil War Museum & park, even Grand Lake of the Ozarks at Grove,Okla. (Grove has a fabulous outdoor village museum called Har-Bor Village. Twin Bridges State Park/Camping at Wyandotte/Fairland, Okla. All are family fun, clean well kept facilities not a lot of city traffic, everyone can just relax.

We had never been to any shows in Eureka Springs and thought we would try this one. We went in pretty skeptical but was pleasantly surprised. What a delightful, funny, and uplifting show! The members of the band are extremely talented especially Rick who plays about 8 instruments. We really enjoyed it and found out they do different shows as well. We shopped before and ventured up the "tower"! What a scare that was but we fought through the fear and made it all the way to the top! Pretty good for a couple of grandparents I'd say!

I got to visit many of the shops and the folks were very friendly. There's a great variety of items and it's a good place to pick up souvenirs or gifts for those back home. They even have a great place to get awesome cornbread and beans with a great leather shop next door. Hey, you can even rent a scooter if you want to scoot around town. If it's exercise you want and a great view, you can climb the tower. (With two titanium knees however, I wasn't up to the task that day but hopefully soon) Then to top it all off, you can take in a show at the Pine Mountain Theater. Great show. The village is also where the Van Tour starts and is a stop for the trolley.

We spent lots of time shopping all over Eureka Springs but these were some of the nicest shops we saw. It seems each are seprately owned, but they all have quality merchandise and friendly employees. In the back there were a couple shops with people selling their own crafts--candles and wooden carved signs. There was a lovely home decor store, a few general gift shops, a store with all Christmas, a coffee shop, a restaurant, an ice cream parlor, a store with all pet supplies, an antiques/vintage cottage, a nursery with Lee Middleton dolls, and a shop with primitives.
