coosa outdoor center

We stumbled upon Coosa Outdoor Center by word of mouth from friends in Auburn. The staff is so friendly and accommodating! The Coosa River is about 7 miles long with a few Class II and Class III rapids, with lots of wild life, rocks that you can jump off of into the river, and if you look hard enough you can find white arrowheads! You park at the shop and they drive you up just below the Jordan Dam and then float back down to their property. They have acres and acres of land for camping and picnicking, with outdoor grills, picnic tables, a massive tree house with electricity and fans, showers, bathrooms, and a shop with everything you could possibly need in the outdoors. There's even a volleyball net! We spent the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We will be back!
