the dog spot at creekwood park

We like to stop at dog parks while traveling long distances with our pooch, and we found this one in Madison on line. What a jewel! It's hidden in a neighborhood, but it's worth a trip. The park itself -- the bigger area, including the playground equipment, the disc golf, and the creek -- is gorgeous and well maintained. The dog park is divided into two areas: both equally large for bigger and smaller dogs, and both well stocked with benches, water, and obstacle equipment. There are bags provided for pet clean up. The people there were nice and attentive to their dogs (not always the case), and I didn't see any aggressive pups. It was comfortable for both people and dogs, with green grass and lush trees surrounding the fenced in area. I highly recommend this place. It's centrally located and well worth a visit.

I accidentally found this pet park after searching for the other end of the Indian Creek Trail. My dogs loved it here. There is plenty of parking and several other things to do nearby for the entire family. The dogs will love the splash pools and freedom of being off leash. Owners will love the area outside the playpen where you can spray your dogs clean before taking them home. We will definitely return. Did I mention it's free?
