Went to the rice mill and was met by a really lovely lady who showed us the film and then proceeded to tell us of all the great places to eat around the area. The mill is really interesting and they still use the original gear to mill the rice today. We ended up buying some stuff from the shop and went away with the map that she had drawn for us pointing out all the eateries in the area. Great tour and great hospitality.

You don't really think about how Rice makes it from the field to your table, but this facility does a nice job at showing the entire process. The hundred year old rice mill is still used in the active production of rice products. You start in the company store and watch a interesting slideshow about the Cajun culture. Next you were introduced to the various products produced by the company before heading over to tour the actual mill. It's worth a half hour to take the tour if you are in the area

Wendy was our welcoming tour guide. We had a private tour on this Wednesday morn'. The 15 min. video was more about Acadians than rice, but was nicely done. The tour took about 20 minutes. The original machinery is still in use today, but with electric power instead of steam. We learned a LOT about growing, harvesting, and processing rice. The store is overflowing with cool stuff!!! It's amazing how many food products they make. And they have a nice assortment of Louisiana treasures, too.

Wasn't really much to see. But the history is always nice to listen to. The ladies that work there are very nice and helpful.

The Konriko rice mill is a piece of south Louisiana history so easy to experience. The tour is brief and simple, but seeing how rice has been handled for 100 years is great for all ages. The introductory slide show is dated, but even that gives you some fun history (how old slide shows were done and how people dressed in the 1970s). The store is full of great rice and Louisiana gear and food. Go enjoy!

The lady in charge was very nice. She could not give us the tour for her Grand Daughter butting in and interrupting everything her grandmother had to say. The weather was stormy so we spent most of our time in the store shopping. The lady that owned the store came in and was very rude. I would not go back.

I had no idea what was involved in milling rice! What an interesting and informative visit. I especially liked the film that was shown before the tour of the actual mill. Miss Jean, our tour guide was just PRECIOUS! I wish I could've taken her home to show her off --- what a lovely lady! Loved the country store too!! FUN trip!

Surprised by how nice a tour this was. They have a short video and then a guided tour through a working Rice factory. There is a lot of history with the mill. Also, adjacent is a company store with many kinds of rice and rice products. Really enjoyed it.
