Whether it's dinner overlooking the grounds, the evening light/water show, putt putt, the zoo, or the pools there is something for everyone!

was very disappointed with this place....we stayed here a few timesat first it was pretty good, each time we went back itgot worse the rooms are dirty and smell musty, last time we went we had dirty sheets on our bed.....aweful....they charge a fortune for the rooms.....i will never go back here again....this is unacceptable.......the grounds is beautiful, the grounds crew does a very good job, but the horel itsself needs new management , housekeeping is horrible...

One of the best light displays around. It offers a short drive around the park of several cool displays. The lake offers some neat ones as does near the golf course. The fisherman at the lake is a favorite as is the deer display. So many good displays and is a nice drive to share with the whole family and get ready for the Christmas season.

We took our 4 yr old grandson here to Olgebay. First, we tried to go on Sat. 12/20 and the traffic was backed up for five hours. We had had a 10 pm trolley reservation and had to cancel it because we were stopped in traffic at 6:30pm and would not have made it in time for the reservation. We ended up going on Monday 12/22 for the 5:30pm trolley and the traffic was still backed up. Our tour guide had to call to ask for more car booths to be opened and if she hadn't, we would have even been longer. The trolley was to have taken 45 minutes and it took 65 mins. with children getting antsey. There has to be a better system there for the traffic flow for cars and the trolley. They need to get a company to analyze this problem to correct it. We did like the lights, but because of the traffic, our grandson like the petting zoo and activities that we did there starting at 3 pm more. He really like the kids hands-on activity room with the wooden Brio train and the John Deer tractor, farm animals and dinosaurs. He enjoyed the indoor laser light show (15 min.) and the model train display. We didn't have time after the trolley to go back for the outdoor laser light show (20 min.) because of the traffic for the Fesitval of Lights backing up the zoo building parking lot where the patio was to that light show. and the ticket booth there also had a line. I would go back and would recommend, but someone needs to correct the traffic pattern for 5pm to 11 pm and even past 11pm. We were glad we went back on a weekday and that we went early. I also called for trolley reservations and they only take reservations the day of beginning at 7:30am--children 3 and up who sit in a seat on the trolley are the same price as the adults. Only children in arms on your lap (babies and toddlers 2 and under) are free.

This is a place to visit at least once in your life. The Christmas Season at its best with all the lights thru the park (300 acres). The rolling hills, lake and you see the deer right next to the displays and the drive along the tour (6 miles). Your drive could be as long as you want it to be. People stopping to take pictures. The new led lights are fantastic, with the new displays. Take a car load, family, friends, kids will enjoy this for sure! There eyes will be wide open for this great experience. During the week is the best time, right after dark or after 9:pm. Closer to Christmas the more traffic. This is a top 10 light show in the country. Top of the list for bus tours. Runs mid November to Jan 4th. (Donation)
