babcock riding stables

Our son and 5 year old grandson had never ridden a horse. My own equestrian experience is also quite limited. We discovered the stables adjacent to the camping area where we tent camped for a week. It was a very easy walk from the campgrounds over to the stables. The lady on duty, Taylor, was absolutely wonderful helping Sammy get used to his pony. She walked along beside the pony as Sammy experienced his first ride. She encouraged him to interact with his pony both before and after the ride. Later, my son and I rode on a trail ride for 2 hours with the same guide. Her understanding of each individual horse, her ability to match horse personality with riders, and her guidance and instruction as we rode made me feel much easier about the entire experience. I was able to relax and enjoyed the event tremendously. Taylor even took pictures for us during the ride.This turned out to be one of the best experiences of our entire vacation. Whatever your level of experience and expertise, Babcock Stables is able to accommodate. Their horse are well groomed, their work area is well maintained, prices are reasonable, and service is great.
