Located on Rt. 219, in an old school building, this book store has something for everyone's taste and it is enjoyable just to be able to walk through this charming old school house. There are 3-4 rooms in the building, filled with thousands of books. You can find antique books, books on almost every subject, children's books, hard-to-find books and magazines. The owner; a retired school teacher is very helpful, friendly and informative and has a wealth of knowledge of the area history. In his earlier career, he actually taught for a short while in this building. If you are familiar with West VIrginia's state magazine, "The Golden Seal", you can find an article on the store in one of the 2012-2013 issues, I believe. Loving to read as I do, I could spend hours and days here. My grandchildren enjoy going there too and the owner always gives children a free book. The store is closed during the coldest months of the year because of the heating system or lack of it, I should say. If you visit during early spring or late fall, be sure and dress warmly.
