I booked a morning ride for my husband and me on September 11, 2014, thinking it would be a pleasant way to fill an open gap in our schedule before heading into Yellowstone National Park. I severely underestimated what an awesome experience it would be. We were greeted on arrival by two friendly dogs and Rex, the owner. He set us up with our horses and our wonderful guide, Rob. Because it was just the two of us for that time slot, Rob gave us several options for the ride, and we had a great time. It's clear Rob sincerely enjoys what he does. We're not big talkers, and Rob seemed content to let the incredible scenery speak for itself, but he was quick to point out signs of wildlife and points of interest, and to answer any questions we had. The horses were sure-footed and calm, but certainly not the boring nose-to-tail half-asleep sort one sometimes finds at commercial trail ride outfitters. Because it was a longer ride than we are used to, the photo stops were appreciated breaks. We would highly recommend the Diamond P Ranch trail rides. We are mid-50's, occasional horse-back riders, traveling without children.

After weather delays, I was able to meet up with Rob and take a superb 2.5 hour ride on Pop Tart up into the forest across from the ranch, and get more than a trail ride - just the two of us, chatting away as glorious views rolled across. Rob is a great listener, but shared some tales and lore of these wild backwoods. A definite must-do for anyone whose ridden before on a nose-to-tail ride - this beat them all hands down.

Booked a two hour horseback riding trip with these guys and thoroughly enjoyed it! Greeted at my car door by their friendly dog, chatted amiably with both the owners and our guide, introduced to my horse (Dusty), and had a great group of strangers to join on the ride. The best part? Once you get up the trail, they stop at a very pretty spot with gorgeous views, just to take pictures of you (FOR FREE) on your horse! Definitely recommend! True Montana hospitality!

My now fiancé and I were were on vacation in West Yellowstone and, as a last minute decision, I decided to book horseback riding reservations. Wonderfully accommodating, were warm and friendly when we arrived and even helped my SO figure out where the best place to propose would be! Rob, our guide, was wonderful - got down off his horse to take pictures and you could tell that he loves his job and loves it when people enjoy it with him! Diamond P definitely made the whole experience one of my favorite parts of the trip, and not just because we got engaged! If you're looking for once place to go for horseback riding around Yellowstone, Diamond P is where you should head! You guys are the best - thank you so much for helping us make the ride so special!!

Our group of 4 visiting from Mi, In, & Az. had a great time! The horses were well trained, our guides Rob, & Shelby were a lot of fun and it was a beautiful ride! While in Montana, that afternoon was one my highlights of our trip! Thank you Diamond P Ranch! :)

My husband, 7 year old daughter, and 6 year old son enjoyed a 2 hour ride together with our guide Rex and his dog Scout. We are inexperienced riders and Rex did such a great job keeping our family safe while we had a great time. We went out during a light rain and they even had rain slickers sized for the kids. Thank you for a wonderful trip!!!

We were a group of 4 women who took the 2 hour ride. We had so much fun. The instructors was very friendly and accommodating, especially when taking all the pictures we asked for. The horses were very gently and well behaved and the scenery was just beautiful. I highly recommend this trip. .

Our 3 hour ride with Rob was great. We rode along the Continental Divide trail, it was peaceful, lots of fall colors, saw some elk and Rob was very knowledgable about the area. The horses were sure-footed and a pleasure to ride. Thank you Diamond P for a memorable experience!

My wife has always dreamed of riding in the mountains with breathtaking views. Diamond P is located in such an area and is a well run ranch with hard working people that are genuine. Rob our expert guide was very helpful and knowledgable. Our horses were in excellent shape and were well taken care of. My horse was perfect for a novice who prefers a golf club. My wife (who rides 5 days a week) had a excellently trained Mustang who was a joy to ride. We will be back next year for sure!

Our family of four, 2 adults and 2 daughters (8 and 5) had an amazing time on our evening 2 hour trail ride through some lovely back country and hills. The horses we rode, Nicky, Jasmine, Linda and Coach were as safe as rocking chairs. They were so well tempered and responsive and seemed to be attuned to the novice riders atop them. Additionally they appeared to be very well cared for along with well maintained saddlery. Our guide Rob was very good in terms of instruction, local knowledge and helping our girls gain confidence in the saddle. The whole experience was the highlight of our trip out west. This is an activity that I would recommend putting on the to do list.

This is a well run operation. The horses are gentle, responsive, and very well trained. Our guides were personable and made the trip entertaining. The trail was just challenging enough to make it interesting and the scenery was beautiful. This experience is well worth the reasonable amount of money paid for it.

Had a great 3 hour horseback ride. Our guides, Rob and Shelby were alot of fun. The view from certain areas were breath taking. Thought we would be sore from riding that long, but surprisingly we were not.Will definetly do this again if we get a chance.The Turner ClanCaseville, MI

Our family drove cross-country in August 2014 and one of our favorite things from our 17-day trip was a morning trail ride with the Diamond P Ranch!!!!!!!! My daughter (11yo) said it was her favorite thing of the whole trip. My son (8yo) who was extremely nervous and didn't want to do it, had a fantastic time and the guides were wonderful at calming his nerves! My husband and I enjoyed the 3-hour trail ride as well. They even had a photographer on an ATV take some great "sneaky" action shots which were available for purchase (we did because they were amazing shots in color and sepia). I cannot say enough what a great experience this was! If you are in West Yellowstone and want to ride, go to the Diamond P Ranch!
