My wife and I went for a valentines day dinner and it was a blast! We arrived early so we had time to experience a tasting as well(generous pours and very knowledgeable hostess). Initially we were disappointed when we were told that we would have to share a table with another couple, but they turned out to be wonderful company and it made the evening! Oh and the salmon and all of the other courses were perfect! Oh and did I mention that the wine was very good also?! We are definitely looking forward to returning for another event!
My wife and I drove out to this vineyard/winery for a tasting and your. Chris one of the owners was actually the person that gave us our tour and tasting and boy was this a cool guy. He made us feel like we belonged there and not just a couple of tourist, not to mention the wine was delicious. The grounds here are beautiful and I recommend anybody that is close by to stop in and have a glass of vino, you won't regret.
My husband and I were touring the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and I wanted equal time with some winery visits. I found this winery through the Vintage Kentucky app and it looked like it was not too far out of the way. Well........we traveled some very winding roads which turned into a winding country lane, all past some beautiful scenery! Toward the end, I really wondered where we would end up as some of the homes were getting a little "questionable". But at the end of the road was this beautiful, newer building with a lovely tasting room, patio and scenic views! I had a great time tasting the wide variety of wines which were very good. It was such an enjoyable stop! We came home with a few bottles and a story to tell about our journey.
We came across this gem by accident, and are so glad we did. Ann is a gracious hostess. The wine is good and the tasting pours are generous. We bought several bottles. Definitely worth the trip, and look forward to participating in the events they host from time to time.
The wife and I visited this vineyard and winery in early March. I used the GPS unit to guide us in since we were in an unfamiliar area. Perched on a hill you are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery. Gentle breezes caress you as you sit in idyllic comfort on the front deck. Great service by the owners Ann and Greg Karsner will see to your needs and keep the wine and varieties flowing. We normally stop at wineries that are on the roadside taste what they have and buy a bottle or two. On this trip in particular We left with no less than six bottles. We tried Goldenrod, and Cardinal dessert wines. Nice and fruity, light with a nice sweetness that would complement any dessert. We also tried Rose of Cabernet, nice and light. Perfect for Salads and cheeses. The Black Jester is a nice medium bodied wine that would go well a variety of dinner meats, lamb, salmon, and beef. There were many other wines we tasted buy these were our favorites. The wife and I have a bit of a sweet tooth. We both highly recommend this winery for the wine and the company.
