I would highly recommend the stay and play package. Excellent food and service. Highly recommend staying in a great location.
Kids, families and couples will love this state park... It has lots of activities for everyone.. Everyone is nice.. Facilities are kept clean..
Rented a boat from the state dock and staff were so very helpful. They took time to go over the boat and gave us a marked map so we would know where to go. The lake is breath taking and one of the cleanest I have seen. Great family trip!
We brought our new RV to the Dale Hollow State Resort Campground for a one week vacation. Our site had full hookups (not all sites do). Because of the circular arrangement of the site, we had a lot of privacy, backed up to woods, with fantastic views. However, the water hookup was on the opposite side of the vehicle; two campsites share the water outlet. If you come here, be sure to bring an extra hose because a regular length may not be long enough. This is one of the most beautiful places ever. We rented a pontoon boat for the afternoon for a very reasonable price; in fact, we found that prices in Kentucky are far cheaper than we have found elsewhere in the country. The lodge is gorgeous, although obviously we didn't stay there.
Wonderful campground. Lots of activities the week we stayed. Pool was clean and well maintained. Perfect area for kids to ride bikes, scooters, etc. Did not have a beach area for swimming in the lake. That was a big negative for my kids. Fishing was great, lots of turtles and little bluegil though. The only area to swim was off to the sides of the boat ramps, really rocky with lots of slate banks. Would prefer the beach area at Green River to swim.
2011 - 2013, couple rounds each summer. Always in good if not great condition, very scenic, and rarely crowded. Looking forward to my 2014 summer time rounds as well. I have golfed all over the country at numerous high end courses and resorts, and when you look at what you are getting at Dale Hollow for only $38 per round, this has to be in my top 3 courses ever. Even last summer when the first time we played they had recieved like 10 inches of rain in 11 days time, the course was in good condition and they were trying to maintain the few wet areas and traps the best they could. Can not wait to go back.
I took my six year old Grandson for Fall break. We rented a Hugh, beautiful RV from Hidden Cave Ranch Bed and Breakfast! The Park has so much to offer and we stayed busy everyday. We enjoyed the walking paths, miniature golf and beautiful wooded nature areas. We spend most of our second day at the Lake on a picnic, skipping rocks and walking around the waters edge. The staff were friendly, the camp sites were clean and private!
We play at this course very often. The course is always in good condition and has some great views! The staff is very friendly and helpful. You will not believe this is a state park course.
Golf course is really fun to play. $38 green fee. Many elevation changes. Not easy course. Very scenic. You'll be surprised at how good this is for a state park course.
We fish here often and rent a pontoon from the marina every year. Its not only the cheapest place to rent from, but its top quality as well. The lake has always been clean and clear. Its great fun for the kids as well. We bring our two and five your olds to play at the park. Hope to enjoy many more yours of fun there.
I had my wedding here in august 2011. the food was great and the staff very helpful. Will eat there again and was highly safisified with my wedding.
This is a great course with a nice set of fairways and greens. The bunkers are a little rough but they wash out when it rains. I am a scratch golfer and the 25 to 30 times I have played it, I have only broke par once. The views are great as well. I nice place to take a group of golf buddies for a weekend get away.
For you fishermen and fisherwomen..the lake is clear. This lake is one of the few in Kentucky that allows scuba diving. I have yet to dive this lake and one day I will. Scenery is breathtaking and there is a motel to stay in. The food there is very good. In the middle of the lake is an island called "Trooper Island". Our Kentucky State Troopers set this up as a camp for children.
We were told that this was one of the nicer courses in southern Kentucky so decoded to try it out.It is set in the Dale Hollow State park and it involves a fairly windy road to get there. As a result it is a destination course, not a driveby.Once we got there, it was obvious we had found a beauty. The fairways can be quite challenging with numerous trees, slopes and wate. The scenery was terrific so the lost ball count really did not matter. The course resides in a dry county so you will need to pack your own if required.
We went for lunch with a group from church. Kentucky state parks are all wonderful. Well kept, great food, beautiful setting.
