If you are looking for a sandwich, bottle of wine or beer, soft drink or simply to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, while traveling the SeaCoast area, you have found the right place.Sign outside says "World's Best Sandwiches." Stocks a good selection of wines off the shelf or from the cooler.Stop by, take a look around, enjoy the view.
The best ever sandwiches made to order. The wine tastings could be more organized and offer a comprehensive selection. We miss the old-style country store atmosphere.
This is a very old school market. Little to choose from but a very nice deli and wine selection. This is the oldest family owned market in the country, est.1828. Check out the old photos on the wall and it is said that Mark Twain use to walk the same floor that is still there today! Behind Frisbess is a great place for lunch, Captain and Patty's! Do both and you will be delighted!
It used to be a Market where the local children would come buy candy. Local families would order groceries and might even have them delivered by boat (if you lived on the water). Many moons ago visitors would dock their boat on the many public moorings and walk 100 yards to stock up at the Market. Today you are presented with Wine, liquor, beer and very, very few things on the shelves. Coffee is terrible. But they still know how to steam a hotdog. My point here is to improve the place. Should Frisbees Management actually read this, I can point to one thing and make my point. Ice Cream is a "no brainer." Credit goes for carrying Ben and Gerry's. But even the Ice Cream is not right. If you know one thing about Ben and Gerry's that would be Vanilla is the biggest seller and by far (IMHO) the best they have to offer. And yes, they mess it up by not even stocking it. Instead they stock Breyers Vanilla which is not even a good vanilla. Think about this. Best Vanilla ice cream is actually Ben and Gerry's and is their best seller and you don't carry it. Reason I point to missed products is I want Frisbees to succeed. By not carrying the right products for the shelves, you are destined to fail. Here is the Grocery list for you to fix.Wine - Stock stellar stuff.Beer - Stock stellar stuff. Liquor - Be picky and stock stellar stuff. You don't have to carry everything just the best at the best prices.Sandwiches - use local bread, local seafood, local crab sandwiches, local, local , local, etc.Eggs - Stock local farm eggs that are delivered daily - Daily Farm Fresh Eggs!Coffee - Be picky and be "the best cup in the world."Ice Cream - Be picky, and get only the best vanilla, coffee, strawberry and chocolate. *Try this get all the things you might want with Ice Cream Sundays next to your ice cream display. Local delivery of groceries - Imagine being able to have groceries delivered and you don't even need to stock it in the store!Carry local items like Stonewall Kitchen, Free popcorn for locals, Local Milk, etc. The list is to long for this forum. Being the local store will bring you locals who support local products and your community might actually be return customers. We all want Frisbees to succeed and not become another Condo on the waterfront with a dock. Start Micro, success is infectious.
Nothing special except for its history. Carries very little. Nice location in Kittery Point.
The Frisbee Market has been sold to new owner. As such its specializing in vintage wines and beers and bad morning coffee. Views behind of Peperrell Cove are nice.
We always make time to visit Frisbee's. It is one of the oldest of its kind in the region. While a bit costly for staples, you can find locally grown and homemade items too! It is a real general store atmosphere. Keep going down the road and turn off at Chauncey Creek for super lobster rolls along the inlet. You can also grab good food at Captain Simeon's Galley right next to Frisbee's. There is a place to buy ice cream out back during the summer and you can even catch a ride on a small tour boat right behind Frisbee's too. The view is amazing at high or low tide.
