Interesting look back in time in when you explore the Blockhouse itself. The grounds are nice. Great place for a picnic. Nice views.

Loveless park setting along the river.Enjoyed the Fort and the artifacts and then spent time sitting on a bench in the park watching the river flow and getting the cool breezes after a long day on the road to Allagash.If you had a picnic lunch you could eat in the park and enjoy the river flowing by or cook on the grill at the waterfront.Very peaceful setting

This is a great old hand hewn fort and one of the few interesting items in Fort Kent. A relic of an old war between Great Britain and the US. Worth a drive by and walk around, sits right next to the river.
