What a blast this trip was! Boats are easy to drive even if you have never piloted any kind of boat before. You start out slowly in the canal and then off to the river where you can really fly. Then back to a slower pace in the Cayuga Canal where you learn a lot of history about the area. (Each rider gets a head phone to hear instructions and lots of interesting information about the area.) On the way back, you actually ride right over a sunken ship off the coast of Grand Island. One more final burst of speed and you are back at the dock. The trip was educational and totally fun. It was amazing how fast and smooth the ride was on the river. Our guide and lead boat driver were terrific. All eight of us can't wait to do it again next year.
