A group of family and friends went to the performing arts center to see a music concert by a local band, Empty Sky, perform the songs of Elton John. What a great evening! The venue is intimate with less than 500 seats, so that every seat is a good one and it makes you feel as if you are there for your own private concert. The sound and lighting systems are excellent, highlighting the performance on stage. The center has year-round performances of musicians, plays, comedy acts, choirs and chamber music, ranging from Shrek to The Wedding Singer, to Gospel choirs, to spring and fall choral concerts to tribute bands. The band we saw, Empty Sky, played for about 2 hours and the music was excellent. A great way to highlight local bands and performers for a reasonable cost and to support your local arts. The price of tickets is $35 and under. It was a great night out with the family, Highly recommended.
