country cottage gift shop & gardens

Great place for those little country treasures you have been looking for. The food they serve is unique and quite delicious!A def place to stop if you are around the area---heck if you are not close by make a day trip and visit!

On a business trip, we were taken to Country Cottage Gift Shop and Gardens for some sightseeing and lunch. What a treat for the senses!! Walk into one of the cottage and smell the sweet scent of drying flowers. From soy candles to wooden plaques and metal signs to anything related to gardens - you will find so much to to see and smell that an hour or 2 may not be enough. There were dip mixes and, unfortunately for my billfold, there were samples and I had to return to the cottage where these were for sale. Can't wait for an excuse to mix up one of these dips! There is a tent where meals can be served. We had a separate tent for our large group. Again, the food was a treat for the senses - beautifully presented and very tasty. Our visit ended with a tour by the owner who talked about the various types of plants and answered many questions from our group. For those who wanted to just relax, there is a lovely pond encircled by plenty of chairs inviting people to sit and enjoy the view. This is about 15 minutes from Batavia and is well worth the drive.
