This trail is fabulous for families with little ones. Our boys were 7 and 3 when we went and easily did the short hike to the falls. Now I am not saying the 3 year old was quick. Altitude was evident with him wherever we were but we made it and there wasn't any complaining so a success in our book. So many places to take pictures. The falls are gorgeous. We thought we would be there 20 minutes and ended up there for an hour or more. Lovely!

Scenery is absolutely stunning and breathtaking!! Great picture opportunities and beautiful hiking trail.

Beautiful, even in the snow. There are 2 paths. Great photo ops at the end of each path. Take your time bc it is a little challenging in the snow; sometimes visitors leave walking sticks to help. I heard that when there is no snow that u can hike it in your ur Sunday best.

Great stop along the way to Wolf Creek Pass. The falls are not far off the road & a great photo opp ! They dont plow out the lot in the winter but it is worth the extra walk. Dont forget some chips or crackers for the chipmunks !

It is near the highway and a short hike to the falls. Breathtaking falls. We have visited more than once in the times my husband and I have been in the area.

easy access, refreshing, spectacular when frozen in the middle of winter, fun for all ages and abilities.

A short drive west of Pagosa Springs and a short hike to the base of the falls. It is well worth the time and effort. Plenty of parking and well maintained trail. Great for individuals or a family. Be sure and take your camera!!

You need to be in minimal shape for this 1/4 mile hike. There are plenty of benches along the hike to stop and rest if need be. The top of the falls has a small bridge to stand over the ravine and enjoy the spectacular view. Great photo opportunities and a very pleasant hike!

This is one of the closest waterfalls to the pass you can get to easily. It is a quick 15 minute hike up (unless you are not acclimated to the altitude) - you can climb down into the river below the falls and warm up in the summer! When we are looking for a quick, fun hike, this is it! The only downside is there are no facilities, so go before you go ;)

This hike was recommended by a local person. Well worth it. The hike is not difficult, and the fun you can have when you get to the falls is great! Don't be put off by the bit of a drive you need to take to get to the starting point. Take the kids. They can handle the hike.

magoman42

tho it is a pretty waterfall and an easy walk for the kids, and nice photos , it should not be the 2nd best attraction of pagosa springs, Colorado, its is worth a half hour tho , esp if your party includes those that cant walk/hike to the more beautiful falls of pagosa

Get out and see this fall! A great easy hike for the whole family. A must see! Even in the fall and winter the frozen fall is gorgeous.

It's only about 15 mins from the parking lot to these falls, but it is WELL WORTH IT. When we visited in late November, they weren't quite frozen yet, which allowed for a very cool mist.

The trails up to Treasure Falls are well suited for the one that wants to see something spectacular......different from the distant mountain views. To reach the falls does not take that much time & effort. You can stand in the mist of the falls & read about the creation ..... & relish the freshness. Enjoy!

Right off main road, steep but easy hike. Looks like maybe could go up above falls during a diff time but was closed off due to rock slides.
