We've been here two years in a row and absolutely love all the activities here! Corn Maze and great food, haunted maze too! Can't wait to go back :)
There are so many activities, it's almost overwhelming. It gets really crowded on the weekends though, so try for a weekday.
We went yesterday, Saturday and was busy but we got there early and lost in the maze, got our pumpkins and rode the rides-ate popcorn was a good day.
A RIP OFF. THE (seperately priced) attractions had 2-3 H O U R wait times. The concessions are WAY over priced. The staff is slower than the DMV. We left at 9:30.......they were still selling tix, even though they KNEW these people were NOT going to make the main attractions with the time left!!! SHAME ON ANDERSON FARMS.
The wait time to get in was an hour and half. Even if you went on line to purchase tickets you still have to wait another hour be able to do any of the activities we’ve paid for. As a result my daughter and grandson who is 2 years old didn’t get to do anything we paid for. No one can expect for a toddler to wait that long in line. THIS ISN’T DISNEY LAND OR DISNEY WORLD to have to WAIT IN LINE FOR rides or activities. We spent $24.00 to just walk around to find something we could do without waiting in line (which was nothing). We left not getting our monies worth and NO PUMPKIN (which was extra) … We won’t be back ever. The $24.00 was a huge rip off .
Our family visited Anderson Farms on Friday night for the purpose of visiting Terror in the Corn. I was very impressed! The attraction was much more detailed and scary than I expected. The various "scenes" at the beginning of the hay ride were nice, but were no indication of the awesomely well-done walking portion of the experience. About the time I thought it was over, we were only half-way done. I took a 9 year old and a 12 year old. I have to admit, I wouldn't want to take children any younger. The experience is very intense......and impressively lengthy. The rest of Anderson Farms was nice, too. The corn maze is huge and well done. The food choices are limited and not cheap, but everything we ate was well prepared and not outrageously priced. One recommendation: Go early! We got to the farm at 5:00, enjoyed dinner and the attractions until 6:30 and then got in line for the Terror in the Corn. The line for Terror in the Corn got very long as the night grew later. We probably should have gone at 4:00 so we would have had time to get out to the pumpkin patch.
Anderson Farms is a fun place to go - for sure. There are attractions for all ages and it is well-organized and somewhat affordable ($12 for adults/free for kids under 3). If you go during the peak seasons, prepare to wait in line, or a lot of lines. There are lines to get in, lines for the rides and lines for the food, many of which are long. The food choices are the typical fairgrounds options, nothing worth noting specifically. With the wide variety of local eateries and surge in food trucks, I would have expected some better options. For a family like ours, who is looking for a more authentic, and possibly more quaint farm experience, Anderson Farms fell a bit short. We may try back again, perhaps later in the day when they host music and offer small campfires just to see how different that experience might be. In the meantime, we will likely stick to some of the more localized options.
My family and I go every year for pumpkin picking. We all LOVE the Corn Maze and my grandkids have a great time in the zoo area and the couple of kid friendly activities available. It's a large farm, very quaint and oh so country! You take a tractor out to pick pumpkins. Who wouldn't like that? There is a small cafeteria and indoor tables for eating. Plenty of outdoor tables when the weather is nice. Sometimes there is live music. Parking can be hairy and a long walk from the entrance. It gets very crowded on the weekends. I think it's slightly over priced but it is a great family time so it's worth it!
This is a terrific pumpkin patch - they have 30 acres of pumpkins with 70 different varieties. I love to see what different pumpkins everyone goes for. The pumpkins are priced fairly - extra large for $10, large for $8, etc… The admission $12 price per person might seem high - but ultimately when you compare it to the cost of a movie ticket - it's a good value for a full day of fall fun. There are lots of kid activities for the 10 and younger to do that do not cost extra. Barrel rides, wagon rides, self pedaled go carts, farm animals, large play area. The corn maze has three different sections. The largest is a total of 8 miles and 18 different punch stations - the smaller has a kid friendly who done-it mystery that has 5 punch stations - and there is a another animal track portion that we did not do… it can be challenging to follow the map - but it's just enough challenge to make it fun. Ultimately, on a nice day - plan to spend several hours here. You can bring in your own food - and there are lots of picnic tables to eat at. There is live music as well. We went on a Sunday, early October during a Bronco game - so the lines were short. We love to make this an annual thing for our family.
Hay mazes! Our kids are older, but the hay mazes are pretty advanced and fun! You have to be paying attention to the "forks in the road." I have yet to try the attractions at night with the haunted hay rides, yet I would like to!
We went on a Saturday night. It was a 1 hour wait to get in at $20/person. The sign "no refunds" should have been a red flag. Once inside, standing in line for Zombie Paintball we were told it was another 2 1/2 wait unless we bought a "fast pass". So we had to go back out and stand in a different line to buy a fast pass (for another $10/person) then go back in and stand in a different fast pass line for Zombie Paintball. Total experience for 3 people - $90 and 2 1/2 hours for a 15 minute ride ...
The maze is huge! Don't wear flip flops on opening week- the dirt won't be packed down yet! Good variety of things to do.
Anderson Farms is a great place to create a fall tradition with the family. There are plenty of things to do: Pumpkin Patch (pumpkin prices vary), Corn Mazes, Pedal Karts, Barrel Train, Farm Animals, & Lots of things for kids to jump and play on. There are plenty of things to do, some things like the haunted house and zombie paintball are extra. There can be longer lines the closer to Halloween and nicer weather days. We did have a problem with the food but they corrected it. I appreciate it when you receive good customer service. I do wish there were some better food options. Our boys loved the Zombie Paintball because they got to shoot at the Zombies without getting shot back. There are many things to do that can create a wonderful time - it is all what you make out of it. This place offers a lot of options.
Oh so many people. When we arrived at 4:00pm on a Friday, the parking lot was completely full and the line to get inside was over 100 people deep. Luckily we purchased our tickets on-line so we didn't have to wait to get in. The wait for the hayride to the pumpkin patch was over a 1/2 hour. That's because we got in line after 5:30pm or it would of been longer. I would only recommend it for children under 7 years of age because other than the corn maze, not much else to do. Although i would say that the staff is extremely friendly.
This is the happiest place on earth, when it comes to Fall Festivals! We go every year and it never disappoints. Beautifully decorated with pumpkins & flowers, awesome corn mazes with fun games to play, tractor ride into the pumpkin patches(tons to pick from), farm animals to feed/pet, petal cars for both young/older kids, barrel car/train ride, tractor cart ride, food vendors, hay bail maze that the kids love to climb/run on, little kids attractions, great place to spend a beautiful fall Colorado day outside! When nighttime arrives, they have a campfire and other fire pits avail. for private parties, haunted corn field & zombie paintball(we have not gone to this, so I cannot give you any personal opinions). My advice...go mid to late afternoon when the crowds thin out. You can spend hours here...great place to spend the day with the family!!!
