Soloman our guide was awsome. He was very famililar with thearea and told us very interesting stories and facts. The rafting part was fun and you do get very wet.
This was my first fly fishing experience, and I had been looking forward to this trip for some time. I can't imagine a better trip than the one Paul and his staff provided for me. I have been in service oriented business for many years now, and even by my own exceptionally high standards Paul and his guys far exceeded my hopes. Paul was patient, professional, and humorous. I found him to be an excellent instructor and an equally great chef. If you are out this way and you are looking for a trip like this you won't find better than Paul and his guys. I wish I could give him more than a 5 star rating.
Had a fabulous time fly fishing with Paul Killino of Colorado River Outfitters. The man's knowledge of fish, fishing, fishing spots, fishing equipment, fishermen and want to be fishermen is remarkable. We were skiing Beaver Creek in February 2012 when a friend suggested that a group of us go fly fishing instead of skiing the next day. The skiing conditions were not good. He told us about Paul, that he had all the equipment and that we would have a great time catching fish in icy waters. Some or our group were knowledgeable fly fishermen and others like me, had no experience at all.Paul picked us up from our hotel and completely outfitted us with high end fishing gear. On our way he prepared us for our day and taught us a lot about fly fishing. He was very educational, instructive, personable, funny and entertaining. He never tired of my endless questions. On location, Paul proved to be a great fly fishing instructor. Although there were five of us, Paul gave us each a great deal of attention and instruction as we were fishing.By the end of the day and a couple of fishing spots, I had a great time, felt like I learned to fly fish (although my technique could use some work) and spent a wonderful, comfortable day in icy Colorado mountain streams trying to out smart prize Colorado trout.Although the trout won out over me (I didn't actually land any) I had a great time as did our group. The next time I am in Paul's vicinity, I'll do it again. The ONLY reason I gave four instead of a five, is because I didn't take any fish home that I had caught.Thank you Paul! See you next time.
