Go seeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it's perfect for those who can't walk too far. Beauty in nature, waterfalls, art and clean

After locating the falls it is a short walk through the woods to Greg there. There is an opportunity to walk along the crest to see a few other smaller falls as well. I would recommend bringing a bag to pick up loose bottles and cans. The falls are not trashy but with a little bit of work they would really be pristine.Beautiful little area, swing in there.

The beautiful waterfalls is probably one of the harder ones to find but worth the effort. It is on private land, but the owner has not only graciously allowed access but also provide a nice gravel trail to the falls. They are to be commended for sharing this gem with the public. It is also very easy to get to being only a short 5 minute walk from the small but ample parking area. The trail will bring you to the top of the falls. there are two trails down to the bottom. One winds to the left and is easier to negotiate and safer for children and those who are not up to steep climbs. The other goes down from the point where you first see the falls over steep damp rocks and requires more caution. There is a statue at the top where the trails split. The best way to find the falls is to navigate to the Rutledge Falls Baptist Church on Rutledge Falls Road. Across the street in front of the church is a small pull off parking area (see my photos). To the left of the parking area is a fenced area with an old grist mill stone and an entrance to a gravel trail. You will see a sign regarding the falls and the owners cautions and request. Follow the trail a short distance and as you enter the woods to the left, the falls will be straight ahead where you see the back of a bronze statue. The steep rock trail down is straight ahead and to the left of the statue. The easier trail is direct left going on into the woods. This is truly a very beautiful spot that you will most likely have all to yourself. After visiting here, if you continue on down Rutledge Falls Road, you are only a short drive to the Short Springs State Recreational Area where you can hike to an equally impressive Machine Falls, though far more difficult to get to. Please be respectful of the owners generosity in sharing this sight and do not litter on their property or cause any damage.

I love this little spot so much! It is so wonderful that they allow us to come and be apart of it. PLEASE take care of it! I picked up trash, but there's no excuse for it! Let's all keep this beautiful spot available to the public!

Located on private land but open to the public, Rutledge Falls is fairly large and beautiful waterfall that is just a two minute hike to see. Above the waterfall, are two smaller cascades that flow into to the larger falls and all of this is in a spectacular wooded setting. As an added bonus, there is a large natural pool in front of the waterfall, that makes for a refreshing dip on a hot day. After seeing this waterfall, you are less than a mile drive from the Short Spring natural area, which contains two other waterfalls that you can hike to. Get directions to Rutledge Falls before you come, as it is not well marked. There may be a more direct way but we got there by driving out on Lincoln from downtown Tullahoma. Then, a left on Carter Lake, and a right on Short Spring. Finally, a right on Rutledge Fall Rd. There is a public gravel parking lot just before you get to a church (on the opposite side of the road from the church). Special thanks to the owner of the land for allowing public access. Hope everyone can continue to be respectful and this waterfall will be open to the public for many years to come.
