For $30 apiece, we rented kayaks and went down the Narrows of the Harpeth. What a fantastic trip!! Took us about 5 hours (we took our time) and the river was just beautiful! WAY more fun than I ever thought it would be!

Have lived in Nashville for 17 years and never did the canoe thing. We had a great time. This company was great. The drivers were very courteous and everyone else we interacted with at the office was very accommodating. Go do it and have fun.

We did a 7 mile ride which took between 2.5 and 3 hours as the river was up. The scenery was wonderful, we saw a lot of turtles, a few interesting birds. The service from Canoe music City was great and we had an enjoyable day.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to float the last warm day of the season so we were the only ones on this part of the river on the weekday we went. It was beautiful with the fall leaves floating down on us like God's confetti and the birds tweeting. This 2 hour float was perfect for our schedule this trip. Next time we plan to do the 3 hour or longer float.

I researched the different places in the area and chose Canoe Music City because their canoes have back rests. If I were in my teens I would not care, but I am not in my teens any more. The prices for the different canoe rental places were similar but I felt that these guys had competitive prices and lower than some, plus they had back rests on their conoes. This was a no brainer. Good price and great caones and no pressure. Hit the water and have a good time. Be sure to read everything on their website and the competetors websites because they have pointers that you need to be aware of like what to bring and what not to bring, etc. You drive to their office and they will load the canoes, drop you off by the river and then pick you up and bring you back to the office. You only need to prepare the night before. Don't forget a couple dollars to give the guy a tip. I did not think about that and had no cash and felt cheap. I let him know I'd make it up to him next time. And there will be a next time!

Canoe Music City is my choice for canoeing on Harpeth River! Friendly staff, great service, well maintained equipment, convenient drop-off and pick-up service, easily affordable rates, and precise safety instructions! A must-do experience for Nashvillians and others in the area. Just get enough sunblock and put all non-waterproof items in ziploc bags, wear river shoes, and enjoy all 7 miles of Harpeth: you will see all fish, birds, cows, turtles, snakes, storks, ducks and other creations the Mother Nature has carefully preserved! Great for families, friends and couples!

I am a lifelong Nashville resident and finally decided to take my family on a canoe trip on the scenic Harpeth River. Canoe Music City was the cheapest outfitter and provided excellent service. It helped that we went on a weekday - expect it to be busier on the weekend - but they did a great job from start to finish. And their boats are newer and have the back rests on front and back seats - that was a huge bonus! What a thrill it was for all of us to see (up close) a bald eagle - I never expected that!
