Last night we experienced "It's a Wonderful Life - The Musical" at Brigham's Playhouse. What a delightful performance! The stage is small and the 150-seat theater creates a truly intimate experience. This is a grass-roots community theater with talented local actors. Southern Utah is home to well-established and respected theater: The Utah Shakespearean Festival at Southern Utah University and Tuachan Amphitheater/High School for the Performing Arts, so there is a wonderful pool of trained and talented performers, young and old.If you book on-line you can claim the Val-Pack coupon discount of $5 per ticket. Our tickets ended up being $18 each. There are yummy and reasonably-priced ($2-$5) Rowley's Red Barn treats available before the production and during intermission. These are served by the actors themselves. If you want a fun, semi-professional, intimately staged, wholesome, and consistently delightful theatrical performance, be sure to include Brigham's Playhouse in your plans.

We saw First Freedom last night. This is a very entertaining and thought provoking musical. The lyrics and musical score are top notch; there is no good reason this production could not be on Broadway or any other large capacity theater. The director acknowledges that he has a few "kinks" in the production, and I do think a few scenes could be better staged (such as the "Saving Souls" scenes} but that is no reason to miss this production. The performers have strong voices and it's clean most of them are capable of delivering powerful performances. I think the director should let them really belt out an even stronger felt song or two. Beau Brewster is just about perfect as James Madison; Jared Davis as Patrick Henry is a joy, although his voice doesn't come across into the audience at times (maybe the sound system?); and John Kessler is swell as Thomas Jefferson. All three have good voices and I wish they were more forceful in their delivery, but again, that could be a technical problems This show is well worth seeing. It is fun and entertaining and does not waste your time. The cast is a professional one, they know their craft and it was a joy to watch them create this new production. (Oh, the seats are comfortable, always a plus). Oh, we are from California and just driving through Utah. We saw a flyer in a hotel regarding Brigham's Playhouse. Glad we did.

This is a community like theater (it is actually a for profit venture but as the look and feel of a community theater. Prices are about $21 but the shows are fun. A great family venue. It is located in a complex sort of off the main paved access street, with several other businesses surrounding a graveled area. We drove passed it the first time.

We got an advertising pack in the mail, it had a coupon for Brigham's Playhouse. I got some tickets and we went to see Peter Pan tonight. It was delightful!.. There were about 25 in the cast total by my count, including children. I don't know how they can do that. I felt bad because the house was not filled this Friday night.Go see Peter Pan, you'll love it!

Loved the show, just like old fashion cozy theater experience. Great for "Date night" or "Family night! Acting was great. We saw Peter Pan, Peter and hook were great the supporting actors were great, kids next to us really loved Noodler and Smeed, ( pirates). The cast seed to love what they were doing :)

Wonderfully directed and absolutely hilarious! The action, timing and casting were very well done. The Crazy Maid was among my families favorites. What weak moments existed were few and entirely easy to overlook. It surpassed my expectations. With such an intimate space I do not think there is a bad seat in the house. If you are yearning for some theater, like air conditioning, family friendly to all ages AND don't want to pay arm and a leg this theater is an ideal place to go!

Saw the production of "Little Women" a musical. I was pleasantly surprised at the theater space. Small and intimate, cushioned assigned seats and air conditioning. The price very reasonable for the venue and the quality. The Southern Utah area for some reason has more than its fair share of theatrical talent in the area and this play is proof.

Recently saw "See How They Run" and don't remember laughing so hard in a play for a long time. The theater is very cosy and well done. The actors were obviously having fun and it showed in their performance. There were plenty of treats available at intermission, and a country store next door with old fashioned ice cream. Very clean family fun.
