hooper’s landing golf course

This course was a private club when the Dupont plant was in full swing. Dupont built the course. I've played here three times in the summer of 2014 and always found the course to be in very good condition. The layout is unusual because you don't return to the clubhouse after 9 holes and you actually play around the plant on several holes. You know that the plant is there but it is not intrusive visually. I really like their greens - firm, fast, with decent contouring. The rough is short enough that you won't usually loose a ball and the trees are typically trimmed up high enough to give you a chance to make a recovery shot. The staff are very welcoming.
