lewis and clark state park

We arrived at 7:30 am to be surprised by a group re-enacting the Lewis and Clark expedition of 1803 thru 1806. The old keel boat is replaced with a modern or new construction boat for the kids too enjoy. They had an old working forge and bellows and were making iron tent stakes and cooking breakfast in their 19th century uniforms of the day. the park was well manicured and had a beautiful welcome center and is just off Interstate 29.
