These are two athletic facilities located on the University of Northern Iowa campus. The Dome is a great venue for football especially when the cold north wind blows in. The biggest drawback to the Dome is the lack of restroom facilities. The floor of the Dome is also used for many trade shows such as the Christmas Arts and Crafts show. Again, restroom facilities can be problematic at these venues. The McLeod Center is the basketball/volleyball venues that is open and airy and provides a great venue for sports activities. It helps to have top notch sports competition (both men's and women's) teams to watch. Go Panthers
The BF and I went to Cedar Falls to watch the UNI Panthers play some football. I am from Clinton, Iowa and one of the Panthers top players is from Clinton as well, so it was fun cheering for one of my hometown heroes. The Panthers won, the dome is heated, and the crowds were very friendly and family oriented. We had a blast. I really enjoyed the college marching band as well.
good view of the field from everywhere - high noise lever tho. the seats are only one step up from straight bleachers so if you have back trouble bring your own cushions
Went for a UNI football game and really enjoyed the facility. Clean area with friendly staff to assist with any questions or issues. Will definitely attend additional Panther events in the future.
Concert was great! First time to the dome had great seats section T was right by the beer and just down from the bathrooms. They had port-a-poties outside so once you knew that and how to get in and out it was very easy and quick to run out to the bathroom. Lots of parking but no good way to get out, it took us well over an hour before the line started moving.
Great concert, good seating, sound not that great, affordable beer at $7. Long lines food & beer, 30 minute wait for women's restrooms. Would go back again!
Since it was single digit temps outside, really appreciated watching 2 football games inside a covered dome.
The McLeod Center is where it is at. The building is state of the art and if you are there for a good basketball game the placed is packed! If you get a chance you should go.
We were at the UNI Dome for a two day wrestling event. The place is very large and had nice space for the mats. The prices for drinks and food was way too high. Wresters need to keep the body hydrated and $3.50 for a Gatorade or water was crazy. They check your bags and remove food and liquid when you enter. I have severe food allergies and was not allowed to bring in any of my own food so I had to go to the car and eat when I needed to, thus missing some of what I drove 10 hours to watch. The seating is hard metal and not comfortable. The screen to post information was hard to read even for perfect eyes. On day two it was hard to find a clean seat to sit in. There were many spills on seats and sticky floors.
The McLeod center is truly a GREAT place to watch basketball. All seats have GREAT viewing opportunities and the sound system is clear and well balanced. The refreshment areas a well staffed and the lines move rather quickly and the products are reasonably priced for sports events.
Always a very well run tournament. McLeod Center is fun to visit and campus is beautiful. Look forward to visiting each year.
Very nice facility for sporting events and different events that happen at the UNI-Dome. Very nice building very good food. And very good seats to sit down at during a sporting event(s). I would love to go back again.
Went to the UNI vs Creighton basketball game. There really isn't a bad seat...and it is an exciting place to watch a game!
It was for wrestling so of course it was awesome. Place was clean, food was good for a sporting event.
We were in town for the Preseason Nationals wrestling tournament. The Uni-Dome is a nice facility, the University is lucky to have it.
