I like the fireplaces in the bar and eating areas and the fun food. Drinks were a little too expensive. Food is a better value than drinks.
The service can be a hit or miss there. The food is always great but sometimes doesn't seem worth what you are paying for. they do have great flavored bloodies and an awesome patio.
Good food and efficient service on a crowded Sunday. If weather permits, there is a large seating and eating area outside the restaurant.
This is a great restaurant. The food was excellent, the menu varied and the prices were fair. The wait staff were most helpful and attentive.
Washington Square is a favorite spot to dine regularly, with friends or family. Highly recommended, never disappointed.
Sit outside and enjoy the small town atmosphere of White Bear Lake. Delicious food with quality ingredients, good service. Full bar with a great variety of beers and beverages.
Been several times and have enjoyed. It's a great location and set up. Good burger and fries. I really liked the Portabella mushroom burger. Wraps are adequate. It's not my favorite but likeable.
I enjoyed my meal. I decided not to eat outside because I hate sharing my meal with bees. I had a burger and it was quite good. French fries were good. Inside bar is lacking in personality.
Just not my favorite place to go in White Bear Lake. Food is OK, if you like bar food. Choices for low-cal are minimal. But if you like deep fired foods, burgers, and fries and are a fan of specialty beers, then this is the place for you.
Good food. Love their salads. Good Happy Hour. Great outdoor seating. Warm and inviting bar w/fireplace. Music too.
I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, the patio, the fireplace. I usually see friends and/or neighbors every time I stop there. The food is acceptable. The staff is great.
Washington Square is a little corner of downtown White Bear. Washington Square, the restaurant and bar is exactly that. Great assortment of specialty beers! The Washington Square retail area has some nice little shops, a few restaurants, a dentist, an old time barber (that's Earl who works at Benny's) and an Optical office. It's home to MarketFest on Thursday nights during late June and July and Friday morning Farmer's markets until sometime in October. On Saturday afternoons you are likely to see bridal parties gathering for a photo op at the fountain area across from the retail side of the street. In the early evenings you might see a few of our Minnesotal Liberals protesting on the corner of Highway 61 and 4th Street. It all adds to the accepting character of downtown White Bear Lake. Park your car and stroll for a bit!
Way over priced and under whelming. Great location and patio. Used to be able to rely on their mole dishes but they cannot cook as well as they use dot. Have a drink but skip the food.
Take a walk and enjoy the shops. There is a restaurant, a health food store, and if you are here on Friday during summer, a Farmer's Market.
