we have eaten there twice and gotten sick both times. It is the only place in town to get a hamburger. Nice bar and nice waitress.
This place has it all!! You walk into what seems like an old bar, that has been impressively transformed into a great new bar and seating area. Service is friendly, and always bustling to make sure your food is out warm, plates are cleared, etc. Noise can be a bit chaotic but it's a bar, with multiple TV's and the fun energy of sports fans! So try to dig it while were there. The food is excellent!! As vegetarians, the choices are abundant! Veggie burgers, veggie pizza, sweet potato waffle fries...other choices are just as tempting. Great burgers, salads, pastas. I'd highly recommend their infused vodka Bloody Mary! Best in town, hands down. Great choices of tap beer, including Blue Moon that seems to be fading out at every other restraunt. Overall, excellent place, excellent options, and I didn't even mention the view of Green Lake!!!
We went here for a late dinner on a Sunday night. We had a small sirloin and the sirloin salad. Both were tasty and we considered them a good value. The best part of the meal was the server - I am not of a generation to use the word, "awesome", but that is the only way to describe her. When she offered dessert, I said I thought I wanted an ice cream drink. Apparently, they don't really offer them, but she was happy to take ice cream to the bar so they could make me a brandy alexander. During the course of our meal, the hostess, the bus girl and the guy sweeping the floor all asked if everything was OK. Exceeding expectations must be part of the culture. Would go out of my way to stop in for the service as much as the food.
We are amazed that this place attracts as many guests as it does. The seating is chaotic, no person seating you, just a variety of servers coming by. The food is typical bar food, nothing outstanding. Service is good and atmosphere is fine, albeit pretty noisy inside.
For the second time in my life, and only the first time in 30 years, I left a 10% tip, the service was that bad. I usually leave 25% tip. The menu is awesome, the food great, and the atmosphere ideal--especially sitting outside on the large, trendy patio, looking at Green Lake across the street.
We sat on the patio...it is cute and spacious. You have a great view of the lake and there was a band playing in the park the night we ate there. The service was great and the food was good. Prices were reasonable. We would go back.
It's a great little bar that has live music and a great wait staff. Fun place to go during 4th of July and the Winter Festival.
