room escape adventures

A group of friends and I attended the room escape adventure in August. It is located in a small corner of a large mini golf/laser tag/video game establishment. It is an hour-long adventure where your group of 10 or so enter a room and need to solve puzzles and acquire clues in order to escape within the time allotted. What makes this escape adventure different from others is that this one incorporates an added level of stress-- a zombie who is trying to eat your brains. As time goes on, it gets more and more challenging to evade the zombie, which makes teamwork and quick reactions paramount. There are multiple ways to solve the puzzles presented, and the team needs to be cohesive to get the job done. It's a fun concept.The location isn't the greatest for this type of adventure. There is a ropes course above the room, and the open ceiling allows kids to look in and yell stuff down to participants. It's a tad annoying. Also, some of the features within the room itself get beaten up over time from use, so updating is needed. While the game still holds up well, materials and equipment could use some refurbishment.This is a good way for a group of friends to have a fun time, and would also be good for work groups working on team-building. If you enjoy puzzles and problem-solving activities, give it a try.
