If you are just passing through town on your way "up north" consider a quick dip at "The Beach" in Cloquet. It is a sand-bottom, chlorinated, pool. It feels like a lake without the weedy bottom or fish you might experience in a real lake. Lifeguards are always on duty. Clean restrooms, showers, places to eat with a snack bar, and lots of activity to stretch your legs. We have spent whole days there, or just an hour or two. Its worth the visit.
