Great family place with something for everyone! Trails are well groomed! Good food and friendly staff!
Had an absolutely wonderful few days at Cranmore. Took the Get package as a complete beginner and after just 3 lessons came away full of confidence and excited to continue learning. My partner has been skiing since he was a child and so is more advanced, he enjoyed Cranmore but found that he complete all of the runs within about half a day. I think this resort is perfect if you or someone in your group is new to skiing and would highly recommend the Get package. Bob was a fantastic instructor and all the instructors I encountered were fun and friendly.
Took 8 non skiers out for first lessons, with 2 of my other friends whom have been out before and have experience. Take 2 i would highly recommomend to all those willing to learn, the teachers were fantastic. As a more advanced skier myself I found the blacks were a blast to zip down, and the sections of woods that I could handle were a ton of fun. Lots of snow this weekend, and not overly crowded. All the crew who worked there, from inside the lodging to the mountain guides, were happy, willing to go above and beyond. Bigger resorts take note, you get customers to come back with this kind of service.Cheers Cranmore.
I haven't skied Cranmore, our family of 4 just went there for the tubing hill and the "adventure park". This is a difficult one to review because our kids had a wonderful time and the staff were SUPER! But I'm going to have to give it an "average" only because of value. If you enjoy tubing, the tubing area is quite similar to any other tubing park you've been to before. Nothing better, nothing worse. We did also get tickets for the alpine slide, zip line and swing - which were certainly fun and the kids enjoyed themselves. One thing of note - we went on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon (sunny, 30degrees) and although it appeared busy, we were able to get on and off all rides without waiting in any line at all (at most, 2-3 people in front of us) which is a pleasant surprise. I'd attribute that to the staff. As I mentioned, they were great. Some of the best group I've ever experienced at an attraction before.
Cranmore is a great ski hill with a variety of trails. The Meister Hut was a great place to stop for coffee and hot chocolate at the top of the hill. Beautiful views and wonderful, friendly service. We ate lunch at Zips at the bottom of the hill, awesome food and service. This is a great hill and only minutes from town. We will be back!
Cranmore is a great ski resort. Close to the fantastic town on conway which has many options for night life, lodging, shopping and dinning. Many choices for fantastic food.
Spent a week at Cranmore skiing with the family including two young grandchildren. This is a great place to learn to ski. Hot chocolate at the Miester hut and après at Zips are a must. Check out the historic pics throughout, you'll feel like you've skied with Hannes. Cranmore is one of founding areas of North America skiing.
I greatly enjoyed skiing here. It was low key and a lots of fun for me. I also liked how close Cranmore is to town so I did not ahve to spend a lot of time traveling before or after skiing. I went midweek and it was not all crowded, there were no lift lines and the staff is very friendly.I will go again.
Highly recommend cranmore to any new skiers. The get skis program is an incredible value to anybody that wants to dive into skiing without much financial risk. Teaching staff is amazing at this mountain. Small easy mountain to navigate will not feel overwhelmed by shear size. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Every child that we saw there was having the time of there life and cranmore had a great family atmosphere to assist them with that .
We ski Cranmore every year and it's always great. The main lift is super fast (which is fortunate as the others are pretty slow) and conditions are usually excellent. There's even some challenging terrain for such a small mountain. Most slopes and trails are perfect for families and there is terrain for all abilities. Our kids learned to ski at Cranmore and the ski school (and the staff in general) is simply amazing. They've made a few changes recently and reversed one for the better. The Meister Hut restaurant at the top is classic and fabulous. Last year they took out the panini press (used to once make the best sandwiches ever offered at a ski area) and for a time they didn't grill anything at all. They've at least restored a griddle and while the sandwiches aren't what they used to be, it's good to be able to get decent food up there again. They do serve an absolutely horrible blueberry beer and sometimes it's all they have left (probably the only way to get rid of it). We complained and a keg of Tuckerman IPA was on the chairlift in front of us twenty minutes later. That showed real concern for customer satisfaction and we were very impressed. The main lodge at Cranmore gets extremely crowded and management seriously needs to increase the guest capacity at the base. They converted the former "Eating House" (also home to Zip's Pub) to table service some time ago and that area cannot be used to suit up or to store your stuff. On an incredibly busy day on the mountain we found Zip's restaurant to be virtually empty so hopefully they'll re-think that change soon. It's a huge waste of space and I bet it's not making the money they thought it would. The pub itself is cozy, fun and the food is quite good. Being right in the center if North Conway a day at Cranmore can flow into a nice evening in town and there are numerous dining and lodging options within minutes. Cranmore offers great specials and ticket options that make this mountain a real value even if you're staying in the area primarily to ski nearby Attitash or Wildcat. The tubing, mountain coaster and other activities offered at Cranmore provide an outstanding opportunity to add variety to your ski vacation in the Mount Washington Valley.
Two hours snowtubing and unlimited use of alpine slide, swing and zipline for $45. Not bad! I don't see why they limit the snowtubing but after and hour, it was nice to take a break. I went midday on a Saturday in February and it wasn't too crowded. The zipline had the longest wait and it really wasn't worth it.
As a family we have skied this mountain a number of times. It is a great family friendly mountain - we can ski all of it. We particularly love the East slope and its associated runs and lift. A trip to the Meister hut is a must and the welcome is always warm and friendly. We tried the tubing this year for the first time and I would say it was excellent. We have tried this elsewhere before but the set up at Cranmore really does work. The. 2 hour ticket was generous enough to allow us a 20 minute warm up inside after and hour and still feel like we have value for money! We went early evening and the sunset across the valley was spectacular if a little cold!
The tubing was a blast!! The cranmore coaster was fun - my 3 year old loved it!! I would suggest getting a mutli-ride pass as the coaster is over very quickly and most kids (well mine) want to do it more than 1 time.
went tubing for the day and had lots of fun. employee was very nice. the visit was mid week and early afternoon. even though if was feb. vac week the lines went quite quickly. the people mover to bring you up the hill was very helpful for the guest.
Cranmore is a classic New England family ski resort. Their instruction/learning program is the best around, the mountain has terrain for everyone and the staff is top notch. Having been to 4 other mountains this year I can easily say that Cranmore takes the top spot for customer service. Where else are you going to find attendants that help you unload the car at drop-off?
