Received a Cloud 9 gift certificate for an evening dinner cruise last Christmas aboard the Spirit of NJ. Did not know what to expect but had to use it. My lady and I lucked out with a beautiful night in October to cruise around Manhattan and up close to the Statue of Liberty. Dinner was fine and the service was outstanding. Loved the DJ music and by the end of the night everyone was up dancing and enjoyed the evening. Great for a special occasion. Went up on deck and got some great shots of Miss Liberty. A very clear night and not too cold. Would have been better if in a group but we easily made friends with those who sat around us. Take a chance and treat your special someone to a night to remember.

My husband surprised me for my birthday, all of my friends were there. Food and service was excellent!!!! Very attentive staff, super friendly. The sights were beautiful. Highly recommend and get the package that includes drinks- worth every penny because the drinks are expensive.

I went on the Spirit of NJ cruise for a Corporate team building event & enjoyed every minute of it. The staff on board was very attentive & extremely friendly making this 2 hour cruise very enjoyable for all of us. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was on board & the most amazing part of our cruise was the picturesque views we saw of NY. They were breathtaking & although I live nearby in NJ & see them often they never get old. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to cruise around NY. I'd definitely love to go on a Dinner cruise next time.

We've been booking our tours with the spirit of New Jersey for over 9 years. Its beautiful, newly renovated and modern. We love the food, the staff and the service.Of course, we'll be using them again!

This was actually our third time over the years on the Spirit of New Jersey and it was great. The ship is a great way to see the New York and New Jersey skyline while your eating or from topside. The food buffet was delicious and plentiful. The staff on the boat were on their game whether it was checking on your drinks or Akeem our DJ checking to see if you were celebrating anything special or wanted to hear any special tunes. After dinner you should head up topside to check out the skyline and as you go under the BMW bridges (Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg) and head back past the Statue of Liberty. Special thanks to Clive of Spirit Cruises for doing an outstanding job on our reservation.

Anche noi avevamo prenotato l'escursione per venerdì 20 febbraio, e a causa del congelamento del fiume Hudson (temperatura esterna -20°) , dopo aver cenato a buffet, siamo partiti..ma dopo neanche mezz'ora, siamo rientrati per evitare danni meccanici al motore..Partiamo dal presupposto che fortunatamente, dopo averci proposto inutilmente un voucher che abbiamo rifiutato per ovvi motivi, ci hanno rimborsato il 60% (assolutamente anche GRAZIE A VOLATOUR , che è l' agenzia/ufficio informazioni sito alla 46th che avendoci prenotato la crociera, ha fatto le dovute pressioni...); continuando poi chiaramente a dire non è sicuro colpa dell'agenzia, ma del clima.. dobbiamo comunque dare un giudizio poco positivo su quella che è stata la parte di cui abbiamo usufruito: la cena era un po' squallida, perchè era a buffet ed il cibo, sebbene variegato, non era proprio di qualità ma più da buffet di sagra paesana italiana..(per carità, era comunque discreto e mangiabile..ma non degno di un'escursione elegante a bordo di uno yacht..); oltretutto le bevande non erano incluse, e se volevi prendere una banale bottiglia di vino, dovevi aggiungere almeno 40$ (per carità, ci era stato detto al momento della prenotazione e quindi non ci lamentiamo, però in generale, crediamo sia corretto segnalarlo..).Il piccolo giro che abbiamo fatto prima di rientrare potrebbe anche essere definito "carino", solo che 20 minuti sono stati insufficienti per dare un giudizio attendibile.In ogni caso, scordatevi l'escursione romantica: si tratta di una crociera con musica pop/commerciale a palla, con il personale di bordo assolutamente troppo insistente nel proporti nuove consumazioni ogni 3 minuti.. (chiaramente a pagamento); oltretutto ci avevano detto che era obbligatoria l'eleganza, quando invece abbiamo visto che c'erano anche persone vestite casual con jeans o abiti improponibili, ecc..Infine..da sottolineare come al rientro in banchina, il Comandante ed il relativo personale di bordo avevano inizialmente pensato di scusarsi e chiudere la pratica semplicemente con un "sorry for the inconvenience, enjoy your dinner", senza ipotizzare magari di offire le bevande , di aprire il bar, o comunque di vagliare l'ipotesi di andare incontro ai vari clienti con un rimborso dati i 126$ a testa spesi per la prenotazione..E' stato in generale un peccato, perchè a priori avremmo voluto prenotare il bateux, cioè la crociera fatta con un'altra compagnia su uno yacht tutto in vetro trasparente (anche sul tetto), che costava di più ma, purtroppo, non effettuava il servizio fino a tutto marzo per manutenzione.. (magari avrebbero annullato il tour lo stesso date le condizioni meteo, ma il comportamento del personale magari sarebbe stato diverso e più professionale).Detto questo.. se torneremo a NY, sicuro non prenoteremo nuovamente con questa compagnia.

J’ai déjeuné sur ce bateau pour une croisière sur le fleuve Hudson dans le cadre d’un voyage intitulé « Merveilles de l’Est » sur la côte Est des USA, organisé par Nationaltours.Le Spirit of New Jersey dispose d'une grande salle à manger, avec une piste de danse en son centre (croisière animée par un DJ).Le repas servi est un buffet, varié et très bon : poisson, viande, salades, légumes, pâtes, desserts...Le pont supérieur permet après le repas de faire des photos de la Statue de la Liberté (sans possibilité d'accoster sur Staten Island), de New York et du pont de Brooklyn.Je recommande cette croisière qui permet de passer un très bon moment et de voir New York sous un autre angle...
