Visiting thru the seasons is a must...spring is spectacular. Good for plant lovers and those who want to escape for a few hours with a quiet walk....Don't miss the Reeves-Reed Arboretum

It's easy to miss the entrance on Hobart, but well worth the search. Inside you will find a little piece of heaven.

It's a nice place, but very small. You really have a hard time finding more than a couple of hours to do here. They run different fairs from time to time, probably best to visit during these times. Daffodil season is very pretty.

I love going to the Reeves-Reed Arboretum anytime of the year. They always have something wonderful blooming. The spring time is very special with all of the daffodils blooming on the hillside. It is a great place to take family portraits in a spectacular environment. They have free parking on premises and do not charge a fee for roaming the property.

It is a surprising oasis in middle of Summit, NJ. However, the gardens and area is still small for laying out nice sized gardens. I went for a walk and was done in about 15-20 minutes. Some nice sculptures and an active program which must be appreciated by people looking to engage constantly. If you are looking for a nice nature walk, there are some nicer alternatives near by.

Great local gardens that are well maintained. The setting is beautiful and every year I take the kids to the "daffodil bowl" for a picture. A stunning sight and a sign of warm weather. A great place!

Sculpture and gardens combined- cute little trails with well identified plantings-also a historic home is on the property- would love to visit in the spring when the 30,000 daffodils are in bloom!

I took a ton of pictures inside and out of flowers, it is small and you can get thru it qwick if you need to but take thentime to smell the flowers and take lots of pictures too.

A beautiful place where, around each turn you find something fabulous to look at whether it's plantings or sculpture. And great programs!

Years ago the Arboretum looked great, but Irene and Sandy took a toll. Still it is very worth a trip to see. The grounds are very nice.

The Reeves-Reed Arboretum, located in central Summit,NJ, is an interesting spot, both from a horticultutral point of view as well as a geologic, because it features a huge bowl that dates back to the Ice Age. In season, the plants are beautiful, particularly the daffodils in the spring, not to be missed. Exhibits indoors, which change, are also compelling. At $5 a voluntary admission fee is certainly reasonable.

Went here to just get away from the norm. Have never been and wife and I needed to get away for awhile. This place was lovely. They had a function going on, so we could not see the main house, but the small walking paths were nice and easy to walk and the local art work on display was fun to view along te way.

The grounds of Reeves-Reed Arboretum are open to the public year round. Each season brings a new spectacle that makes walking the grounds so enjoyable. Last month we had the opportunity to rent the main house for an event hosting 75 people (I believe the space can accommodate up to 150 people at an extra cost). The event space is beautifully appointed, suitable for any kind of celebration including a wedding. While your event is taking place the grounds are still open to the public but the house is exclusively available to you and your guests. Reeves-Reed does require event insurance ($150.00) and they do require that you use vendors from their list or approved vendors which we find to be excellent. Encore Catering was amazing. We had perfect weather which allowed our guests to enjoy the veranda that overlooks the incredible gardens. Kudos go out to Reeves-Reed for their thoughtful management skills and brilliant location.
