This review is for the GoKarting experience only. - Disorganized- Dangerous- Unhygienic- Not friendlyA group of us (16) all purchased the Groupon for 2 15-minute go-kart session. Even though we made a reservation for a private party, we were told the Groupon is only for "Arrive-and-Drive" which means we do not get any laptimes or rankings. We didn't even need to register or create a profile. Our reservation was for 1pm, and some of us were an hour late, but we weren't on the track until almost 4pm waiting for others to go first. The people behind the counter were not very friendly, didn't even smile and only answered questions when we asked, almost borderline rude.We were each required to purchase a headsock for $3+tax, which was not specified anywhere. Purchasing the headsock was fine, but the helmets, gloves, and tracksuits were all old, torn or ripped, and put right back on the rack. Track suits are understandable, since everyone has clothes underneath, but I would've wanted to use some disinfectant spray for the helmets! The people working on the track were friendly, Surprised they still have someone there waving the flags instead of using an electronic system for that. The gokarts themselves were dangerous since there were NO SEATBELTS, and the brakes on some of them don't even work! Get ready to get a workout of your arms when you race.
Weather was nice and cool and it was the last race of the season. Plenty of places to set up and watch the race with a lot of different views, open access to the pits and vendors, less crowded than the motorcycle shows with more room to spread out. Bring a pickup and park your chairs in the back.
The track staff is very good but the "track food" could be better (not a fan of microwaved hamburgers)
My wife and I attended the AMA Event this past weekend. The event was well organized parking well laid out. The workers were pleasant and helpful. There are plenty if bathrooms and are kept very clean. There plenty of great spots to watch the race from and food vendors prices are reasonable. Even rain couldn't wreck the weekend.
During my work trip, I was at the New Jersey Motorsport Park and I have to say that it is a pleasant track. There isn't too much to the track but it is open and not crowded. I'm saying that in the sense that there is not an ample amount of vendors that occupy the fields and infields. This track allows its audience to breathe and it was a fun track to be at because of the hills and turns that each track consists of.If you get the chance to visit the motor park, I wouldn't stop you. You should probably just go for a race or the classes that they offer for motorcyclists. It is quite interesting.Best wishes,Shaun
Attending motorcycle track day and an AMA event. Well laid out and nice staff. Could use more bleachers or a grand stand on the front straight
This was our 2nd year visiting here. Great track, great facilities and nice people. We hope to be back next year, if you have not visited yet GO see what is there for South Jersey has to offer.
Went there for a Bertil Roos Racing School event. Everything you'd want in a track and more. Lodging at track was a nice convenience
We have visited this track several times - to watch racing and to drive/ride ourselves. My husband does track does here for motorcyles and we both have driven our cars on Lightening. Fun, fun, fun!!If you get a chance, go out to watch a race - they have car racing and motorcycle racing. Highly recommend going.
We were racing a this track with AHRMA, and we had a blast. The track is great and in great shape. Clean facilities, nice people and a few great places to watch the racing.
We were there for an event called SRT Track experience. What a nice, clean track! So well maintained. All the people were so helpful and friendly. It was a great place to do so many things there. We will defiantly be back for other attractions.
Many race tracks only have porta potties. This place has some nice inside restrooms, in several locations. Track as a whole is kept up pretty nice for a race track. Good viewing areas. Gate staff was friendly, not the "I am in charge here so do it my way" type of people. Management, please keep putting some money back into this place so it does not get run down. Good job on getting so many pro racing series to NJMP on the same weekend. I am a race official & get to see many different tracks and this is at the top of the list.
Wife and I were there for the "24 Hours Of Lemons". We are not race fans or motorheads, so were way out of our element. But the people there were just as helpful as can be, even walking around the atmosphere was just great. The facilities and restrooms were new-ish and clean. We were there Fri/Sat/Sun. By Saturday we knew to bring our own food, drinks and seat cushions. (12oz Coors is $9). If sunny, bring sunglasses, sunblock and an umbrella. Also, I was happy to bring my little foldup bike so I could tour the grounds.
This is a fabulous place! We watched the go carts practice and motorcycles practice race. We saw a wreck right in front of us...thankfully nobody got hurt. Very professional atmosphere.
Nothing against Millville, but I never expected such an awesome venue here. There are two proper road courses for cars, motorcycles and karts. Professional racing amateur racing, club events, drivers clubs, driving schools, cars and motorcycles. 2nd friday is bike night and 4th friday is car night. The pub has really good food too.
