We loved the hippos and the shark tank that you can walk under however it was smaller than we thought and we were done in two hours. However, petting baby sharks and feeding stingrays for only $2 made it worth the drive

Loved the large sit down area to watch sharks and sea turtles. Good relaxing nook of aquarium away from crying kids. Food isn't as over priced as I thought. Hippos were amazing! Would not recommend the 4d movie - glasses were terrible better watching without. Photos for sale reasonable. $10 parking across street not bad. I enjoyed this aquarium more than Baltimore. Didn't feel as crowded

We arrived on a Saturday morning in March around 10am and were met with a line of about 50+ people. The line moved rather quickly, though. After $10 for parking and $60 admission for two adults, we were inside. We got to see many things, including hippos, sharks, and rays. However, navigating was very difficult due to the number of people and strollers that were all over the place. The principal negative was the 4D movie. We were told to be at the door at 2:50pm for a 3pm show. We did just that, only to find ourselves in a line of 30+ people. The line curved right through the "Kid Zone", where toddlers were screaming and pounding away on drums. As they were running late, the 20-minute wait was excruciating. The movie itself wasn't super informative, only describing a hypothetical journey of a young sea creature. The blasts of air and spray of water were more of a distraction than anything else. It was this element that sent most of the children in the theater into a screaming fit. Some parents ignored their children's screams, leaving the rest of the audience unable to hear the audio of the movie. In my opinion, not worth the wait or the extra money.

Took my kids and grandkids to the aquarium for a "cabin fever" get away. Aquarium is easy to find, parking is directly across the street from the aquarium at a cost of $10.00-that's fair. I feel admission is priced fair, it took us over 5 hours to see and participate in the entire aquarium. The aquarium is very kid friendly with lots of touch tanks, my grandkids loved the touch tanks. Penquins, hippos, and shark tank are all very impressive exhibits-especially for the kids. 4D movie cost extra, but is not kid friendly, in fact most kids were scared and had to leave during the movie. Food court-food is very good but way over priced, it cost $93 for 7 of us to eat a lite lunch. They do have choices for vegetarians. Be aware at the end of your tour of the aquarium you will end up in the gift shop, which is well stocked and reasonably priced. Over-all I highly recommend a trip to the Camden Adventure Aquarium, it is a great family trip that will create many memories. Note: In the summer you can park at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia and take the boat across the river directly to the aquarium for an added experience.

Trying to find new things to do this very cold winter with our granddaughter the aquarium was a good choice! It seemed a bit pricey so I went to AAA to get discount tickets. It was an easy ride from the Phili suburbs on a Tuesday morning. We were surprised that we had to pay $10 for parking across the street from the museum. Entering the building we got a map and schedule for the different feeding times and educational talks. Off we went with a four year old in hand to enjoy seeing the sharks and divers in the large tank. It was a bit crowded because they were several school trips that day. I would recommend going after lunch when the buses full of kids leave or call to see if they have class trips scheduled. All the students were well behaved and it really wasn't a issue but I'm sure it would have been a bit different without the field trips. We brought our own lunch and sat in a nice area to eat. The favorite definitely were the hippos! How can such large animals seem so cuddly? The aquarium was a great outting for all of us and we would definitely do it again in the warmer months. Just be aware, like most museums just as you are about to leave the " gift shop" appears without warning!

I took my 7th grade class to the aquarium again this year, but I feel I need to downgrade my rating this year. Here's the facts.Negatives: Still way overpriced for the average family for the number of exhibits available. We went on an off day experiencing no crowds, but the exhibits are not set up for crowds, and kids would see little on a crowded day. AGAIN the hippo exhibit was down, and the penguins were not available. That's a big chunk of exhibits. Ridiculous food prices. (Bring your water and food)Now the positives: Twice, we saw the divers in the large tank, and they were very interactive with the kids including posing for selfies with them. They know customer service. There are four large touch tanks ( and couple of smaller ones), and without the crowds, the kids spent much time touching sharks, sting rays, sea cucumbers and many other ocean creatures. Great coral fish display where kids can stick their heads up into the tanks and see bioluminescent (glow in dark) fish The staff was informative and friendly, even to 13 year olds. The shark tunnel and tank are very impressive and held several shark species.TIP: Crowds are more sparse in the winter. Once spring and summer come, so do the crowds. Anytime you go, get there when it opens and head straight for the shark tunnel or other frequently visited spot.

I went here as part of a three family outing (6 kids ages 2-6). We all had a very nice time. The new hippo enclosure is great and allows everyone, short or tall, to really get up close with these great animals. Overall everything is well presented and very interactive, which keeps the kids attention. I recommend going outside of a weekend or show up at 10 am when it opens. I gave this 4 stars and not 5 for the following reasons: a) it is a little smaller than you would expect for the pricing, especially when compared to world class aquariums around the world (I am thinking Monterey or London) and b) somebody read their business school case study on how to maximize customer spend (you have to walk through the gift shop, past every convenience/food offering, parking is additional, ...). you don't need to bring your own stroller btw as they have strollers available

I've been here several times, and there really are alot of things to see and do. It is too expensive in my opinion and can get very crowded. If you purchase beforehand it will go quicker getting in, because sometimes I've seen long long lines for tickets. It's ashame how pricy it is though because it really is a neat place to go.

Not an ordinary aquarium. The Themeing was fantastic and kept you interested in all the exhibits. There is a huge tank with all kinds of sea life in it which is incredible. We got great pictures. And a good time was had by both adults and children. We will be back.

First, this is a really nice aquarium and the staff was very nice. There is a ton to see and the exhibits look really nice. Unfortunately for us it was just too crowded to enjoy. It cost over $50 for two people and it really only takes 1-2 hours to see everything. Plus we had to pay an extra $10 to park. The price would not bother me so much if the place was not so crowded. It was nearly impossible to see anything because it was so crowded. Turns out going on the day we went was not great because schools were off for President's day and it seemed like everyone decided to go there because how cold it was outside.

I went on a day when it was 3 degrees out, so overcrowding wasn't an issue. All of the exhibit were open. Hippos and sharks were very lively and interesting. Two stations too touch stingrays, lobsters and starfish. My kids had a blast. Well worth the price for half a days entertainment and 10 minutes away from philly.

The aquarium was so overcrowded you could not walk, much less see any of the animals, and they continued to sell tickets. Staff was so incredibly rude to us in the parking lot not telling us what was going on as they allowed 10 cars to go before us and made us sit and wait for 10 minutes, and then got mad. The only communication they gave us was waving a finger at us and knocking on the windshield, which was indecipherable. This aquarium is clearly not what it once was and is no longer worth a visit.

We've been to Boston Aquarium, Mystic aquarium, Sea World, and National Aquarium. Today we went to the Adventure Aquarium and we really pleased. There many touch tanks and a great variety of species. We were there on a cold, cold day so outdoor exhibits weren't open, but while this was tied for number one today, I think with the additional exhibits and outdoor space it would be head and shoulders about the other four.

Wanted to kill a day Presidents' Day weekend. Decided to try the adventure aquarium First off the only negatives. Pre purchase your tickets the ticket line is ridiculous. Second don't go on president day weekend the place was beyond crowded it was over whelming for my autistic son and for everyone else. Now take those things aside this is a wonderful aquarium and it is not so little. It is themed wonderfully it's clean and appeals to all ages. The shark tanks and hippos were a hit The dinosaurs of the deep theme was exciting. Everything in between is wonderful lots of interesting facts lots to entertain the kids Missed the 4 d movie and it's was freezing out so did not do the outside section. But we will come back. Kids favorite was the movie theater style shark tank way cool. Consider the season pass if you are within an hour and have kids saves money by second trip we could do this three time a year easy.

I've been to a lot of aquariums, and most are the same - some fancier than most, some with more animals than most, but the Adventure Aquarium really stands out in providing unique experiences for children to learn about and interact with the animals. There are an impressive number of hand-on experiences, such as sting-ray feedings and about five touch tanks, including a separate sting ray touch tank just for children under 42" which had three baby sting-rays.The staff was also very impressive, very knowledgeable, and all seemed to really enjoy their job.
