You'll find an amazing collection of RVs and motorcycles here. Even vintage camping gear. Beautiful collection. It's free too! It's located inside the RV center and there's not a visible sign for the museum but just ask when you walk in. Worth it!
Rarely can you so completely be thrown back in time as by walking into one of the many classic campers that's on display here. Very definitely worth the stop! Oh, and it's free!
Great collection of RVs and Harley's. Staff was sweet and helpful! Definitely worth the time to walk through and show the kids
We went to this museum just out of a whim. It was on the way back to our hotel in Canyon. Our boys go to West Texas A&M. The museum is small but well done. We enjoyed it. You have to go into the RV store and asked to be taken to the museum. It is in the back.
My parents have traded RVs here for years, but I had no idea there was an extensive RV display featuring dozens of wonderfully restored travel units. I'm not a motorcycle guy, so didn't pay much attention to the many vintage cycles on display. Definitely worth the visit...and it's free!
Whether or not you are into RV this is still a great place to visit. They have vintage RVs that you can view and walk thru. No admission and it may even give you the RV Fever!
There is an abundance of old trailers here and some that have been in movies. The building is clean and comfortable. Best of all--it was free. That's right, it does not cost anything to visit the museum. It is not as well advertised as some other spots in Amarillo. In fact, it was a couple from Germany that inquired of us where it was and that is what caused us to visit the first time.
I was surprised. They have some amazing stuff. Motor cycles, campers, motor home and a way cool wooden boat! There were also all kinds of camping accessories! Models from the 20's and up. I highly recommend visiting, it is small but well worth it.
Nice little free stop to see vintage rvs. It was fun to see the history and actually get in the rvs on display. No pressure to buy a new one either.
It doesn't take too much time to tour the facility but I really enjoyed seeing all the RVs and motorcycles. They did a fabulous job with the "setting" in each RV. Games, food and fabrics all are in relation to the era of the vehicle. It was worth the trip - thank you for the exhibit!!!
Not only do they have the history of RVs, they have awesome motorcycles and other older items set up in the RVs. I was unsure about going here cause I didnt care about this stuff but it was really fascinating! You won't see this place from the road, you'll have to go into the RV store and ask to be taken to the museum. Check out the awesome new RVs too in the showroom when your done.
Awsome. This was a great part of America's past. Everyone was friendly an you can go inside the rv's. We were so impressed we even thought of buying one. Then we realized maybe not.
A piece of Americana preserved, all displays well done. This museum is a work of love. Free admission
If you like older RV's this museum is definitely worth checking out. There is no fee for the museum. There are RV's dating back to the 40's. They also have several Harley's on display. We were there about 45 minutes buta person could look around less or more, depending on how much they want to read about the rv's and motorcycles.
Great place if you are interested in all kinds of vintage. We had a nice talk with mr. Sisemore about .... jukeboxes greetings grom Holland.
