We were in town for the St. Patricks Day celebration and we caught the horse and buggy ride here. (I was told they only do that on the holiday weekend). We toured around the park, real quick. There was a live band playing and a small dog show...again probably for the holiday. I believe the locals would know more about this park and the meanings of these buildings. The website for Dublin made no mention. If anything take a nice walk around town, it won't take long and enjoy the nostalgia.

We found this small park while wandering around looking at some of the older buildings in town. We’d been in town for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration and decided to go back the next morning to explore a little bit without the crowds. The park is only one block in size and is located a block off the main street, within sight of Dublin’s museums. It contains two old buildings, a steam-powered grist mill built in 1882 and a log cabin built in 1855. Both have plaques providing information on their history. Neither is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but the grist mill does have a Texas state historical marker. There isn’t much to the park, but it’s worth a quick drive by or walk through if you are in Dublin already and have some interest in its history.
