I have lived here most of my life and the dr. Pepper plant was the highlight of all. You can see bottling with pure cane sugar in process. But now the dr. Pepper is gone, thanks to snapple. Dublin has bounced back and us producing new flavors of soft drinks. You can take a tour of the bottling plant and have a great sandwich at old docs soda shop. Also Dec 4th is luke wade day. Just ask for a luke wade and receive a free drink!

Everyone misses the Dublin Dr. Pepper that was bottled here until recently, but that is not the point of this review. Visitors today can still tour the bottling plant with plenty of Dr Pepper memorabilia. Occasionally, you can see the bottles actually being filled. After the very brief tour, you can relax in their soda shop which serves a variety of soft drinks...they are really good! And have a sandwich or ice cream.

I love this place but its so sad to not see or be able to buy dublin dr pepper here anymore. I lived in dublin when i was a little girl and my dad worked at the dublin dr pepper factory and now that it closed it makes me so sad to go back and visit. I miss the good old days

We had a great time touring the Bottling Works. We had a great guide and we got to taste several of the different sodas. It was worth the money and worth the trip from Fort Worth. We had an enjoyable day in Dublin.

I have stopped here numerous times during the years, and am saddened to see the old Dr Pepper bottling plant is no longer in operation. They still have a museum and continue to make other bottled drinks, but the original flavor of Dr Pepper can no longer be purchased here.

We bought a Groupon to go on the tour and get floats. It was a great deal. You tour of the old bottling facility next door to the Soda Shop (they're going to build a new bottling facility at some point and this one is rarely active). While on the tour, you get to sample a few flavors of their special sodas from a normal soda fountain. You also get to make your own soda in a bottle (feel free to mix flavors or not) - one per family or $1 more per bottle which is still cheaper than the $1.25 in the store. After you finish the tour of the equipment, you go into 3 small rooms with museum artifacts of mostly posters and old cans for Dr. Pepper since the plant used to be Dublin Dr. Pepper. Then, you go across the street to look at more museum exhibits. With the Groupon, we got floats in our choice of their flavors. I got root beer and my husband got a cream soda. They were delicious. They also serve food, but we didn't eat. There is plenty of Dr. Pepper/Dublin Bottling Co. merchandise for purchase as well. You can also buy something like 14 different flavors of pure cane sugar glass soda bottles at the store. You can buy single bottles or cases. It's cheaper to buy a case of 24 bottles in one flavor than to mix and match whatever flavors and however many bottles you want.

After years of driving by the place a friend and I stopped to check it out.Interesting pieces of history and a old school soda fountain. They also have a variety of snacks and other drinks available.

Stopped with the family in Dublin and Docs soda shop (part of the bottling facility). Decided against tour with pricing at $5 adults, $4 children. Instead, spent the money on a variety of flavored sodas @ $1.25 ea only because of the "pure cane sugar" (instead of todays norm of high fructose corn syrup) ingredient. Girls behind counter were very generous with letting you sample anyone of 10+ flavors. Note: no Dr. Pepper is sold here, but the "Black Cherry" tastes very similiar...Plenty of chotskys & t-shirts in shop, but not much else of note to see. For us, glad we stopped, no need to ever go back. Note to family thats owned this facility for decades; spend some money on making the soda shop more interesting - a complete makeover is in order.

This is a really great place to visit. It's interesting and you learn a lot of history about soda. It just isn't as good without the Dublin Dr Pepper though. Before they stopped making it, I bought a few cases and I've kept the last bottle as a memento. If you're in the area, go and visit this place. If you're planning to make a special trip out here, I don't think it's worth that anymore.

My wife and best friend accompanied me to Dublin, Texas to see the Dublin Bottling Works tour. It was a great trip. We toured the famous little bottling plant and learned some great history of the former "Oldest Dr.Pepper Bottler" in Texas. You can see the way it was once done before computers took over. You can taste product that is still made with pure cane sugar instead of corn syrup. It still produces the best tasting soft drink in the Lone Star State. Period! They have a soda fountain and hamburger shop too surprise, surprise! Make the trip. You will enjoy it and it will take you back in time when you get to see the bottling works and some of the rarest old advertising posters and signs in the country. It's a blast!!!

I learned a lot really appreciated a new taste for my taste buds! I had my first Dublin in Llano Texas and as I drove down HWY 281. I saw the sign "21 miles to Dublin", "what the heck lets check it out" I can still here the rattling of bottles in the back as we drove off with 2 cases of Dublin's pure cane sugar sodas, Nectar of the God's could be an understatement

My husband is a huge Dr Pepper fan & loved Dublin Dr Pepper from the 1st time he tried it. We toured the Waco museum before the lawsuit, but didn't make it to Dublin until after. Still some interesting history & we brought a variety pack of what they still bottle there back to Knoxville, TN with us.I hate that corporate greed brought the Dublin Dr Pepper era to an end, but they are still kicking & keeping a tradition alive by bottling great quality beverages with real sugar.

I had been here a few years back before the lawsuit which unfortunately shut down their Dr. Pepper bottling and wasn't sure what to expect. The tour was very similar and as always, very interesting. Unfortunately you did not get a taste of the famed Imperial Sugar Dr. Pepper but you did get tastes of the various other Imperial Sugar soda pop they currently make. There is a new self guided museum across the street which is very interesting and a nice touch. I always enjoy learning about the machinery and especially the fact that most of the bottling plant was built over 50 years ago and still works to this day. They are closed on Monday's except over the summer, and they only bottle there once a year now in June on their anniversary. Nothing else to do in town but definitely worth the drive out there!

I came across a commercial advertising for St. Patrick's Day to come out to Dublin. Having been to the real Dublin I thought it would be unique to visit the one in Texas. Spoiler alert: there's no blarney stone nor any cool castles.....but there's plenty of history. We went the weekend before the famous holiday and the town and soda shop were ready to celebrate, it was cute. We had root beer floats and of course their famous soda. To say it was good was an understatement.....it was great. Its a small place and mobbed, but it was St Patrick's weekend/parade day. We didnt wait too long for the tour.....I will say they need to put a cap on the number of people in the tour.....its a small place and became cramped. The tour guide was nice but talked entirely too fast. We, like most, couldn't leave without purchasing a variety pack of glass bottled soda. If you're in the area, you have to stop in this little town. You won't have cell reception all day, but it'll bring you closer to the "good old days" ;)

I recommend going on the tour of the bottling plant and the museum that has all the Dr Pepper items. They no longer bottle Dr Pepper, but when they stopped they had been the oldest bottling plant to have been bottling Dr Pepper. They bottled Dr Pepper for almost 121 years! Only about an hour and a half away from Dallas!
