This park is fabulous! It offers a little bit of everything. Great RV spots with full hookups, a wonderful water view, a large and well kept playground, boat rentals, mini golf, hiking and biking trails, a well stocked store, snow cones, helpful staff. It's beautiful here and there is really nothing negative about the park except the difficulty in making a reservation. Plan ahead!

This is an excellent campground. It's clean, well managed, and the sites are nicely spaced. Right on the shore of Lake Livingston. It would be really hard to improve upon the location. Garbage is picked up several times a day. All you have to do is set it out at the end of your drive. My only complaint is that you are not allowed to reserve more than on site, under the same name, for the same dates. I didn't read the "User Agreement" (who does?) where this limitation is clearly stated. I mistakenly booked multiple sites, because I did not read the "User Agreement," and was lectured quite strongly by the park manager for doing so when I called a few days in advance to confirm my reservations. He made an exception for me but said the rule would be strictly enforced next year when the park opens for the season. I suggested a pop up message that would point out this rule when someone tries to make a multiple site reservation but the park does not manage or maintain the site. They can only make suggestions to the company that developed and manages the reservation site. So each person in your group will have to go online and make their own reservations. I understand that you can call but the telephone line is very busy and it is difficult to get through. Aside from this minor inconvenience, this is a great park. I highly recommend it.

Just returned from my family’s 4-nights and 5-days camping trip. Reservation was very easy over the internet. We had campsite 41-43. These sites are across the road from the lake front campsites. We did not choose the lake front view because of the small kids in our group. Use the campsite map off their website to help figure out what area you want. Our site had trees that provided shade. We had plenty of room for numerous tents, boats, and vehicles. No one was crowded. Restrooms and showers were close. The women would like to have seen less spider webs in the restrooms. Overall, restrooms were better than other sites we have been to. The boat ramp was easy to access and there was a fish cleaning station on the ramp. So, so convenient. There is playground for the kids with swings and slides. The surface of the playground was covered with rubber mulch. This was great for my 2-year old nephew. There is seating for the adults to watch the kids. There is a store next to the playground. We did not go inside. I can’t tell you about it, but they have a window on the side of the store that they sell snow cones from. Oooweee!!!!! The cones were made from shaved ice instead of ice pellets. The syrup flavor stayed with the cone from beginning to end. It did not just sink to the bottom of the cone. The flavor was robust and strong. I had the green apple, my cheeks inverted. Best $2 that I spent while on the campsite. The kids love the swimming area because the bottom was sand and there was no need for those swim shoes. During the night, we saw the local constable patrolling the park. If you are thinking about trying a new campsite, give Wolf Creek Park a try.

Recently spend 3 days and 2 nights here (my first time there) and I loved it. Our site was close to the store and the fishing pier which was great. Store had anything you could possibly want. Sno cones were an added bonus at the store. Restrooms are clean and showers were nice. The swimming area is the best I've ever been to. It is a large roped off area and the bottom is completely sand. We did not even have to wear water shoes. No worry about stepping on sticks or rocks. That alone will bring me back. Park was quiet, friendly people and the spaces were clean and neat. They have trucks that come around and collect trash during the day. Had to walk to the restrooms at 1:30 in the morning and felt safe as there were still people up but they were quiet so they did not bother anyone. If you have never been here, I highly recommend it.

Nice and cozy, quiet little place on Lake Livingston in San Jacinto County. Enjoy spending the weekend here from time to time and have always been very pleased with my trip.

We just got back from Wolf Creek Park and already have our spot picked out for next time. You really don't know till you have been there which pad site that suits you. We were in #2 and I will tell you... avoid that and #1. Both have no shade, morning or evening. The front park of the park that we were in consist of 3 "wheels" configuration with 10 RV sites each. People park in the middle even with their boats and it makes it hard to get around. We were in walking distance of the store and fishing pier. The multi-daily trash pickup was really nice. The sites are close together so be prepared, especially on weekends to have kids, bikes, etc., very close. During mid-week, it was nice and quiet and we really enjoyed that. It is a beautiful park, clean, laid out well, mowed often. The office people at the park entrance were very helpful. We saw Sheriff's dept. cruising around at night so that is a plus. We fished on the cement embankment and also the pier and caught lots of catfish. The little store is great! We love Coldspring so be sure to drive in and eat at the Paradise Grill! There is also a gas station (now I have forgotten the name!! ) that has AWESOME hamburgers. We had a great week there and recommend it for sure! OH.... A couple of things: If you are in a space you DON"T like and ask to change... even if the entire park is empty... forget it. You would have to pay for another spot along with the one you were in. Also... a question for the park... Why no recycling bins? I can't imagine the number of bottles and cans that go in the regular trash can. Thanks for a great week!

We camped here over the weekend. Park wasn't that crowed and we really enjoyed that. Plenty of amenities to keep busy and enough solitude to really relax. We found the marina sites to be really busy and somewhat loud. Only thing that would have been really nice is if the facilities were cleaned a tad bit more often. They became overwhelmed with bugs. Not so bad that you avoid bit noticeable. We really enjoyed this park. Fishing was pretty good as well. We do plan on visiting again.

Camped for 3 days. Caught a lot of fish off the concrete bulkheads. Shade trees, clean and comfortableNice clean shaded camping spots. Fish off concrete bulkhead right in front of your camp. Fish cleaning station, bathrooms and boat launch. Very pretty setting. We caught lots of fish.

We love camping at Wolf Creek Park! They have some really nice RV sites, both on the water and under the trees. There are some close to the swimming area (in the lake), playground, sports areas and camp store, as well as others further away from the activities. The fishing is usually pretty good, too! While they don't have cable tv available, they do offer a great get away from the hustle and bustle of life! They come around an pick up garbage at your site once or twice a day...that's a great perk for us! It's a beautiful park!

Just about the best camping experience we have had in Texas. Beautiful grounds with some campsites right on the lake

We always choose wolf creek when we go to Livingston they have a nice boat ramp great campsites clean showers .they also have a swimming area this is a smaller campground which makes it nice because it doesn't get over crowded and when you reserve your site you can usually pick the site number you want if you are familiar with the park

I loved this park, it is so relaxing peaceful. Our campsite was right on the water line so we had an amazing view of the lake. There are conveniently placed bathrooms all over the park. I also loved the mini store they had there. The store pretty much has everything you would need for camping etc... They offer mini golf for $2 and they have tasty snow cones!! Open 7a-9p. There is a playground for the kids, basketball court, and also a sand volleyball court. Lots of space to go fishing. Overall I loved this place. Will visit again soon.

This park has a beautiful setting and is one of the nicest overnight parks that I have been to. Waterfront camping sites are available or if you prefer you can camp in the woods. It is also a great place to go for a day for a family picnic or fishing off the shoreline. There is a store on site that offers the necessary items and a boat launch. It's a drive to any large city, but Coldspring is only 6 miles away and offers several good restaurants and a small grocery store if you forget something. The park does close during the winter so be sure to check their website for their operating schedule.

This is the best placed we have camped so far. Excellent for kids!! The sites next to the marina are great if you are here with a family. There is mini golf, $2 each, and sno cones all day. I even saw a family with a small pizza from there. The store has tons of stuff with great hours. 7a-9p. No matter what we needed, they had it, and at very reasonable prices. My two year old had to go over everyday for .59 cent sucker. There is a nice playground, but be advised the ground is covered in old tire pieces, great for not getting hurt, HORRIBLE for clothing and shoes, so take old stuff. The swimming area is very nice, sandy bottoms, with new entry stairs. The bathrooms and showers were ok, never been a real fan of campground toilets, but I have definitely seen a lot worse. The website says there are canoe rentals, but we didn't do it. The camping circles near the marina are sewer sites, and extremely close together. This was fine for us because we were camping with other people, but not sure I would like it if I were there alone. Also, there are a few of those spots that are completely unshaded, but most have some shade. The second area with just tent sites are a hit or miss. Some of them had concrete pads, while others were simply gravel. There is TONS of shade in that area, and if you love to fish, the water ones are steps from the water, with a very nice sea wall, so easy fishing. The farthest site from the marina area has both sewer sites and tent sites. Mostly shaded area except for the water front ones. Those looked pretty hot.
