There are several good restaurants in the area and several fun hole in the wall shops. There's candy store, an awsome fabric store that has a wonderful selections of quilting and clothing fabrics, some clothing shops, jewelers with beautiful things and a great shop owners.
Boutique shopping, nice spa, good restaurants... and improving every time we visit. Check it out! Restaurants with many different cuisines (Agave Azul, Twisted Root, Amici, Sid's, Cooking) and darling shops with friendly staff and interesting items.
But pretty small. That being said it is easy to navigate and everyone welcomes you with open arms. It's cool to visit in the evening cause its kind of pretty but not tons to do. I wouldn't make a special trip here but since I was in the area I stopped in for dinner....
Great nostalgic downtown square. Good restaurants. Little shops. Gazebo. Old original downtown movie theater.
We visited old downtown Carrollton this weekend and it is an amazing place....old time candy store, antique shops, entertainment, and every kind of cuisine you could possibly ask for. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and welcoming. I highly recomend this for a family afternoon or evening out!
Plenty of restaurants. Nice to stroll back in time. It was an easy walk and the old buildings are very interesting, including the street lamps.
nice walk-around place after a huge meal at Babe's or Agave Azul...feels homey, friendly, and it well-maintained.
If you like historic downtown areas, Carrollton's is pretty nice. There is a large Gazeebo in the center of the square which really makes it feel like an old time town. There are shops, and restaurants so there is enough to keep you busy. Best of all there is a Babe's Restaurant which is the best for a family meal.
They have a festival in the Downtown Historic Carollton that is fun for the whole family. All of the stores open up for this festival and is a lot of fun.
Downtown Carrollton has just enough shops (antique and miscellaneous) to make for an interesting afternoon. And there are four good restaurants, Wonderful World of Cooking, Agave Azul, Babe's and The Rainbow Grill.
This is a good place to go for an afternoon to just browse shops for fun. The candy store there is especially fun and is a great place to find vintage candies and foreign imports you can't find many other places. Lots of public parking makes this tucked away little town-center accessible. Feels like a nice piece of Small-town America in the midst of the mega-metropolitan DFW area.
The area is great on a nice day for strolling. You can sit and dine or snack on the go. The great mom and pop shops offer unique browsing and window shopping but beware, they sometimes close in the middle of the day w/o notice. Parking is decent and they host fun events in the spring/summer that are always staffed by Carrollton police and well organized.
It was such fun to visit the shops and meet people during the Chocolate Walk. Chocolate treats and sips of wine were great pick-me-ups for shopping.
Very quaint and friendly. Nice shops and restaurants. Babes Restaurant is a must. The old town square is a nice place to walk. It has a gazebo in the middle of the square.
If you are looking for old time town square this is it. Great restaurants, shops, salons and more. You can't go wrong.
