the bee cave sculpture park

We went on a beautiful Sunday morning. The art is pretty good, but the location is fabulous. It is right in the middle of shopping and couldn't be more tranquil. It also has a map of the sculptures so our 4 year old did his "research" to make sure we saw all of them. Stop by this location for a quick stop.

Bee Cave is a small town at the intersection of some large highways outside of Austin. Behind the hustle and bustle of the shopping malls there is a 7 acre park, with massive trees and a spring fed pond. This site has been transformed into an outdoor sculpture park. Kids will love interacting with the sculptures, especially the oversized mosaic frog with wings (you have to see it!). While you are there be sure to check out the Bee Hive and the plaque that talks through the history of the town itself. Regardless of age, you will love this place. While you are at go ahead and bring some food. It is a great spot to have lunch with gamily and friends.
