I unfortunately used this horrendous company for a company outing. Per our contract with Wine Tours Virginia and confirmation through email, we were to be picked up in a mini bus and instead were picked up in a extremely out-dated van that didn't accommodate our group. Not to mention the driver was almost 30 minutes late. ON TOP OF THAT, THE COMPANY THEY CHARTERED THE VAN WITH CHARGED OUR CREDIT CARD AN ADDITIONAL $576. Like others, the wineries were not expecting us. Save yourself the headache and book with someone else.
it was fun to see the variety of wineries even though we liked some better than others....We had a wonderful time, didn't have to drive so that set our minds free to enjoy everything, the driver was wonderful and knew where all the places to go, he was in no hurry and let us take as much time as we wanted, it could not have been a better time. We have plans to do this again soon and bring friends the next time.
nice to join in this site. Take great care, here. Doing business as Virginia Wine Country Tours, Capitol (yes, CapitOl) Wine Tours, DC Limousines & Events, tec Oasis Group, LLC, and many others. All of the experiences reported below - unfortunately - reflect a pervasive set of business practices and representaions perpetuated.

I booked a wine country tour through this company. I expected them to pick the wineries, book and pay the limo, and pay for the tastings. I also was thinking there would actually be a tour or a guide that came along with the limo to tell us all about VA wine country. I expected at least some type of tour when we got to the vineyard. When our limo bus arrived, the driver greated me, but did not know where he was going and where these wineries were. He did say he had GPS, but as I found out after getting on the bus; he didn't know how to use it. I had to program the GPS for him. Even when close to the winery another person on my bus had to guide him to the place since he was basically circling the same office complex (no winery in sight).Once at the winery, the lady kindly asked how we were going to pay for the tastings. I told her that the company arranged to have that paid upfront. She shook her head and that made me think to ask her if they have done this before. She said yes. We used our credit card, luckily and were on our way to the second winery and the same thing occurred. It seemed that both wineries expected us, but had not received payment. Again, we paid out of pocket. The tour that went from 10:30am to 5:00pm was a total of $750 to VA Wine Country Tours for this all-inclusive adventure. After realizing the tastings were not included, and we had purchased our own lunches prior, we basically paid $750 for a limo bus with a driver who didn't know where to go and for a person to call the wineries to say we were coming. That's it. Nothing else was included. For that cost, I could've booked a cheaper limo bus, paid for tastings and still gotten a better deal. The kicker isn't even that they claimed they were all inclusive. The kicker came a few days prior when our credit card to hold the reservation was fraudulently charged another $796 from a completely different company: Limos.com. With an additional charge from the same company the Saturday after for $132.I did contact my email contact and told him that we had a bad bus driver, albeit a nice one, and that we had to pay for tastings. He reitterated that they do not pay for alcohol/wine of any kind including tastings, flights, etc. However, the first email I asked him was specifically about that and the response was they were an all inclusive company. Their definition of all inclusive is obviously gravely different then mine and the rest of the customers on this page.DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
They sound genuine and helpful on the phone while all the time planning how to screw you over. Virginia Wine Country Tours - TFE Oasis Group working out of 440 Scenic Overlook Dr Front Royal - 540-635-1535
I should have consulted Trip Advisor prior to booking my wine tour through Virginia Wine Country Tours - TFE Oasis Group working out of 440 Scenic Overlook Dr Front Royal - 540-635-1535 - None of the wineries they selected were expecting us. The wineries had to make arrangements to entertain us and because of this we took too long and had to skip the last winery. The limo came to pick us up at a different time. The limo's AC was not working. Their office asked us for an additional credit card after we fully paid for our tour and found out the limo company was charging us an additional $600 for someone else's tour. I have tried relentlessly to get someone to address these issues with me, but I am being ignored. No one picks up the phone and a different person, if any , responds to my email not addressing any of these issues. Very sad Companies like this one are out there making money out of false promises.
This is Fraud, I bought a gift certificate back in December and they are now saying the the Certificate was altered and not able to be redeemed. It looks like even if I did redeem it, they wouldn't show up. The Virginiawinetour.com website doesn't appear to be working anymore, but they are so clever and now have a winetoursvirginia.com website that they are operating from. They are also offering tours on GroupOn. PLEASE don't give these people any more money!!!
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!! FRAUD!!!I was planning my 30th birthday celebration and was checking out this company. I did not even check to think on tripadvisor until it was too late. I made the reservation back in March after it took them about three weeks to get back to me. I made a reservation for a limo for 8 hours for my friends and I. I sent them a check for $499 as it was a special (thought I was getting a great deal). I should have known something was wrong as they only communicated via email. In the agreement they also wanted a card number on file in case we went over, caused any damage, etc. which made sense. The tour was booked on Saturday. On Friday, I received a call from a limo company confirming pick up location. He said the limo was for 6 hours. I told them no it was for 8 and they told me to talk to the limo tomorrow. Mind you that I already confirmed with the va wine tour that day so at this time I had no idea I was dealing with a 3rd party. Later that night, a pending charge of $585 was on my card. On Saturday, the limo picked my friends and I up. Again, the hour situation came up. He asked for the agreement where it says 8 hours. As we are on our way to the first winery, I am trying to search for the agreement to prove the times. This is not something I should have been worrying about as my friends and I are trying to celebrate. Long story short, none of the wineries had any reservations for us, the limo company charged me an additional $195 for the two hours in overtime (which was 8 hours total). This event that was originally $499, ended up costing me $1,397. Now the limo company is currently trying to help me by reimbursing some money which is okay, but I'm still short $800. The va wine tour says it was in their agreement, but I have email confirmation that the $499 was for the limo and for 8 hours. I did not pay them $499 to pick 3 wineries and call a limo company. After reading some of these reviews, after the fact, I am fortunate that at least transportation showed up as it seems most of them just cancelled, but what a mess! Having to deal with my banks, the police, va wine tour and the limo company..it is a HUGE mess and a headache that nobody should have to deal with when celebrating an event!!!
We are Limo company "Atlas Limousine and Black Car" after making the booking with us he used the customers credit card to pay us, even after taking the Checks from them.Later we found the customers complaining and we had to return the payments to there accounts. A complete loss. But for the passengers who used my vehicles I did not tried to rip them like Viginia Wine Tours do.The culprits exchange email and calls with different names James/Raymond/John/Jennifer.
They cashed our check for a gift certificate we got for my parents when they come to visit and I'm trying to book our tour. I have sent numerous emails asking for a phone number to call to book this tour and discuss the details of the tour but they just keep sending an email back saying to fill out the certificate redemption form requiring our credit card. It's absurd? What do you do at this point? Just read all these reviews and I'm gut wrenching sick...

Cashed our check and then charged us double using our credit card number. Cannot get in touch with them and are trying to dispute the charges. Do not use this company.
... by the Attorney General of Virginia, according to the Washington Post:http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/reliable-source/post/tareq-salahi-sued-by-virginia-ag-over-winery-tour-business/2012/04/23/gIQAZ2rtcT_blog.htmlAccording to the article, the suit alleges that the company "canceled on clients at the last minute, failed to take them to all their promised stops, and did not provide refunds." Very glad I checked here first before booking! Still looking for a reputable company for my upcoming trip.
Virginia Wine tours took two weeks to email me back. They sent me a contract and no contact information for me to speak with someone. They wanted full nonrefundable payment. I luckily saw this site and decided not to go with this company. We tried Point to Point Limo Wine Tours instead for our Bachelorette Wine Tour Party. I was able to speak to someone who was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed. They arranged everything. The Limo driver showed up on time and was great! I'm so happy we went with them instead.
