ss&c summerwind performing arts center

Very nice area outside of Hartford, great parking, cute area, often walk through it on lunch breaks. Did not do any shows in 2014 and if you drive by the area looks closed. Hope they do some stuff in 2015! Seems like a shame.

Had a great time bringing the kids to sit on the lawn. It's an easy venue with plenty of parking, low prices and not too far from Hartford.

Love going here. We bring coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and have a wonderful time listening to music enjoying the summer. The property is really beautiful, parking is easy, sound is high quality and they get good musical acts.

Summerwinds offers open-space out-doors concerts. there are covered areas closer to the stage, but we like to sit out on the lawn and watch. Recently saw Max Creek do about 3+ hours under stars - incredible! Bring your own libations, etc. - It's cool. Great place for kids as well! Highly recommend this venue!

I've been to Summerwind a few times now and find it a fun alternative to the big venues in the area. It's not quite like Tanglewood and yet they still manage to bring in some shows. Last year I saw Steve Miller, which was a real treat in the relatively cozy environment. We also saw the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra for two years now and will likely see them if they return.The venue is very convenient to get to, has good parking and some food and beverage choices. There is covered and lawn seating, both are close enough to see the show. The sound system is very good, people are friendly. It's a really good time and excellent value.
