jennings beach

The beach is well maintained and you can take your dog to run free from Oct 1 to the end of April...a beautiful place to walk and breathe in the beautiful salty air!!!!

Jennings Beach is one of several Fairfield beaches. It is located near the marina. It has the largest span of sand of all the Fairfield beaches, a large parking lot, restrooms, showers and dressing rooms, a playground, a volleyball area, picnic tables, grills and a nice concession stand. In my opinion Jennings is the best place in Fairfield other than out on the water to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July as the barge they are shot off sits out in the Long Island Sound directly in front of the beach. Jennings Beach requires a parking permit, residents can purchase a seasonal pass or a daily pass, out-of-town persons must purchase daily pass.

This place is very busy in the summer but we went there at the end of September and walked for about 90 minutes and saw about 3 other people. Nice beach for walking and playing - seems to have volleyball facilities. Beach is very clean.
