i-55 raceway

Had not been there in years so decided to take the Grandsons for a night out. Still just as exciting as it was in the past. Grandsons really enjoyed themselves. The only complaint I had was they only sell Coors products. Very different since we are in Budweiser land. other than that its a great option for a Saturday Night.

Excitement, races, spills and thrills await you at the I-55 Speedway! This is an incredible place if you like your hair to stand on end watching crashes, if you love the sound of big engines and the smell of high performance fuel mixtures. Top that with hot dogs, soda, popcorn, and pickles and it's a fun filled night! We loved every minute there. Be sure to bring something soft to sit on, sunscreen and a hat. Don't let kids roam around unattended by an adult as this is a big, big place. Other than that, come on down for excitement and lots of thrills!!

We were at the track for the Ironman 55 Sprint race. Awesome is all I can say. Been to a LOT of dirt tracks and this is now one of my favorites. Will definitely be back again.

WOW! Fast and racy with passing in every corner on every lap. Good food and friendly staff. A must see for die hard dirt track fans.

Phenomenal track! Decent weekly show and the specials are great. Seeing the World of Outlaw Sprints are a must at I-55!!Only wish tickets were cheaper.

We were going to Six Flags on a Sunday and we decided to go a day early and go to the racetrack. I thoroughly enjoyed it. We had my wife, mother and two teenagers - they didn't enjoy it as much as I did. As the night came upon us, it got cold. I would suggest taking some fleece covers/blankets. They are lightweight and they make decent seat cushions and keeps your bottom from sitting on the cold aluminum. Plus, you could use them to wrap up also. The concession food is good and not that expensive. Take your earplugs.I'm going to try it again, taking some seat covers and fleece blankets. I feel it's a great family entertainment value. Stay away from the fence while they are running. My wife was coming back from the concession stand with food in hand. There was a caution and she thought she could make it back - she didn't quite make it and had some dirt/mud get on her.

This is our favorite thing to do on Saturday night! Kids love it as well! Cheap food and great fun for all!

This is just a fund place to take the family for a new experience. The dirt track really makes for an exciting nice at the races.

Great dirt track! Easy parking - food is good, track is great! Went for the Ironman 55 in August, but unfortunately the storms moved in before they could get the 55 going.

Cheap food & drinks and lots of fun for the kids! And on a regular night, general admission tickets are next-to-nothing!

The family really enjoyed our evening out at the Raceway! Kids really want to go back.

Great place for a date night or just someting differant to do with the kids!

Although updating has been on-going over the years it is still very enjoyable and affordable if you're a dirt track race fan.

If you like the stock car races, you'll love this place.Always some excitement going on there in the summer.

I-55 Raceway is the first place where I saw a WoO race. It was also the first dirt track I ever went to. The track boasts plenty if free parking and tailgating is allowed too. No coolers allowed, but don't worry, the food and drinks are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Tickets to the main event races like the WoO are also cheap, less than $40 and well worth it. The track staff is really laid back. Everyone wants everyone to enjoy themselves and have a great time. The entire facility is great, you can pay extra for "assigned" seating, but I would not recommend it. The cheaper General Admission seats are located on the first 12 rows of each section. I loved loved loved my entire day at I-55 Raceway. The action lasted from 4 pm well into the next morning. I can't wait to return!!! My first WoO race- my fav driver actually won, that being Joey Saldana. I love this track and you will too.
