As a very mediocre skier I felt comfortable at this place as did my girlfriend who stuck to the bunny hill. There were a ton of families and a lot of space indoors for groups and relaxation between runs. We went later in the day and were able to get 2 lift passes and 2 ski rentals for around $50, which I thought was great. Would come back.

The food is average ski cafeteria food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Ski runs are interesting for the southern half of lower Michigan. Nicely groomed. All the lifts were running.

Timber ridge is a decent place to go. Decent food, great lodge atmosphere, a little rundown but decent. Do not like the rope pulls for the terrain park that seems to have been an aftethought. Black diamond runs are short and usually mogulled like crazy. Decent green long runs with a few jumps here and there. I'd rather go up the street but this place isn't bad I suppose.

I have gone to timber ridge for years and have always enjoyed their slopes. The last trip I brought along my kids 5, 7, 12 to work on their snowboarding. While I was in the lodge taking a break my 7 year old daughter wanted to stay out and ride the bunny slope with a rope tow. She fell in the middle of the hill and this particular rope drags on the ground halfway up the hill due to poor grading of the land and lack of tension in the rope. When my daughter went down the rope caught her binding; dragging her up the hill. The guy that's at the top keeping an eye on the slopes didn't see her until she got all the way to the top of the hill hanging upside down about to go through the giant flywheel at the top. My daughter was able to wiggle herself free before the operator ever stop the lift. Her board still had the boot in the binding, and she fell about 8 ft. to the ground. She wouldn't ride anymore. The same thing happened to my 5 year old son later that day, but my wife was there to hit the stop button right away. That lift should not be in operation. It has been like that for years, I never imagined how dangerous it was.

Timber Ridge is a great local ski resort that caters to families and provides exceptional service. Slopes are well groomed and maintained.

Timber Ridge has been around a very long time and has been passed along from brother to brother and now onto children and grandchildren. However with all the passing around some over sight has accured in updating equipment and remodeling. This place could use some renovations and a owner that can see the big picture that a ski resort caters to not only people who ski but to the snowboarders too. To charge a price for admission you need offer more then just a hill to slide down.Take a look at surrounding resorts that are the competitors and take notice, when a resort makes money then put some money back into the buisness to update and attract more customers. The busiest part of this resort seemed to be the bar and that's okay if you like to spend time there while the kids are on the hill, just remember someone has to drive home.

We normally find Timber Ridge an overall pleasant experience, and try to visit about four times during the season. Sunday 2/3 was quite busy, as Timber Ridge was offering a buy 1/ get 1 deal, bringing in the crowds. This was really our first time with anything negative to say. During one of our trips up the Triple Lift, one of the attendants was openly complaining to his partner how he was yelled at by a parent for not slowing the lift down. He didn't seem to mind that he was easily overhead by anyone in the area.A while later up the same lift, my 10 year old son was struck by the chair, as he was attempting to board. He was knocked to the ground and the chair went over him. The attendant picked up my son, dusted him off and put him back in the chair. He said that he was "over the red line". I mentioned the line wasn't clear and that they should have slowed the lift down. My son was scared, but uninjured. I convinced him to face his fears and got back on the lift again. We later saw another incident on the same lift, also the attendants managed to stop the lift as the child was being pushed forward. All in all, we find Timber Ridge a family friendly environment with a good variety of hills for all abilities of skiing.

Good place for learning sking or snowboarding. Thats the reason we see a lot of kids with parents around. The bar/restaurant there is good. Good food price, live music and excelent beer.

This is a locally owned and run ski slope that really does the best they can with what they have. They have streamlined ticket getting on the busy days. It usually has lots of kids, which I love, but my husband prefers the quieter morning, afternoons when the kids are in school. I gets boring pretty fast....but it is one of the two best that the area, I am just thankful to be able to have a place close to ski:)

This is our local resort. Our kids learned to ski here, now they can ski off by them selves. Good family fun, nice owners, easy skiing. As long as there is snow, you should have a good time. Just don't expect long, steep runs or deep powder!

For a small ski resort it has a variety of trails from easy to difficult. Nice looking lodge. Snow can be icy in this area though.

Where i learned to ski - overall pretty average, but great for beginners and children. I will probably choose this place when I teach my son to ski.

Very family friendly ski resort in Southwest Michigan, very close to Gobles. They also have a tubing hill for young children which is an hourly charge. I also like the lodge which has a friendly staff.

Nothing around the area is actually too great. Better than some, worse than some. It's fun enough for an afternoon, but sure isn't a place to go out of your way to ski. Being close though has advantages.

MikeC453

Not a great challange, lots of fun and great people run the place.
