I like that it hosts jazz in the park on Wednesday evenings during the summer months, also this venue can be rented for weddings, parties, get togethers. They have a kitchen facility inside if you have food catered in. There's a nice garden outside to take a pleasant stroll.
Planning a small wedding? This could be the place for you, it is a small venue with area for about 100 guests outside but less inside if the weather isn't so nice. Outside there are hundreds of rose bushes and wisteria vines with flowers and fountains to set the mood. Cost is very reasonable.
My daughter's wedding was at Andersen Enrichment Center. It couldn't have been more beautiful! There are art shows, gardens to walk through, meeting rooms to rent. If you have an event you are planning this is a great place. My good friend was proposed to in the gardens on a snowy December night - very romantic! It used to be the changing room for the Andersen Pool. One of my books is called Andersen Pool. saginawseries.blogspot.com
went to an outdoor wedding there, what a beautiful pictueresque setting. It is outdoors though and with Michigan weather who knows rain, wind, hot, cold, all I know is that you will have great memories of the special day.
We were here for an outdoor wedding. The flowers were very pretty and the a/c inside worked well. We had a hard time hearing the wedding ceremony due to the layout outside.
The Anderersen Enrichment Center is a nice respite in the City of Saginaw. It is beautiful when the Wysteria and Roses are in bloom. It features a sculpture by Marshall M. Fredericks, Flying Geese in its fountain. I often walk here before work or during my lunch time. The Andersen Enrichment Center also is home to many events. During July free concerts take place amongst the roses. It is also home to several craft shows and artistic events throughout the year.
The Anderson Enrichment Center provides Saginaw locals and visitors alike a place to learn about their city, see local art displayed, gather for festivals and celebrations that are put on by the city of Saginaw, and provides access to a wonderful rose garden. There is no entry fee. Festivals like Jazz in the Garden and Holidays in the City start and end here. Numerous garden demonstrations are held here each summer. You can also rent the facility (or a part of it) for weddings, conferences, business meetings etc.The wonderful Lucille Anderson Memorial Garden is a real treat for the eyes and nose. There is a beautiful water fountain in the center. Roses of all kinds bloom through out the season. There are some other flowers, of course, too. Several benches encircle the rose garden and it is a great place to take a lunch and sit and listen to the fountain, birds, bees and watch the butterflies and hummingbirds do their thing. It is kept up very well. There is a large parking lot, and you can also sit in the lot and enjoy watching the fountains in Lake Linton. Bathrooms are accessible inside the center.
