If you are in the mood for a good craft beer and burger, this is the place to go. I highly recommend the fire starter burger and wheat beer. They also have a great music selection.
All of the beers are delicious here!I suggest getting the taster where you can sample 8 5oz beers, then you can order a pint of your favourite. I ordered the Mile High meat loaf and it wasn't bad. Nothing spectacular but not terrible either. I regret not getting the chicken though. The wait was very long. It looked like they were heavily under staffed because there were 16 empty tables and a lot of people waiting at the door. The bar was full so there was no chance of waiting there. The wait was about 40 minutes long, so if you visit you should make a reservation.
This is a great place to stop by and get a drink and dinner. Went there with a few friends and chatted for hours while having local bear and great food.
The Brewing Company is a worthwhile stop for casual dining that features a good selection of beer and food options and a friendly staff in the interesting atmosphere of a refurbished factory. They get busy so call ahead to put your name on the waiting list; doing so saved my group at least a 45-minute wait.I also visited the Abbey Bar (located upstairs from the Brewing Company) to see a concert after dinner. There are a couple of problems if one sees a show here that is at all crowded: there are iron support pillars throughout the general admission standing area which lead to lots of obstructed views (and increase the danger of a concussion if the crowd starts moshing). Additionally, because the stage is not centered between the two side walls, the crowd gets pushed up against the wall that abuts the stage. Again, not an issue if the audience is small or docile, but with a packed house of dancing fans, it leads to an unpleasant experience for many in the crowd.
Great place to stop for dinner and a flight. The pork schnitzel was excellent and the service was great. Good casual joint with some decent retail to take home a souvenir or four.
Excellent meal, excellent selection and a really neat place to see. Interior decoration nice. Good choices of 'adult beverage'. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.
I travel through Harrisburg frequently and was pleased to find this restaurant! They have lots of vegetarian options, and the food is excellent, and at a reasonable price. The desserts are good too! It's close by I-81, and is much better than any of the chains right off the highway. It's a good stop for anyone traveling through the area.
Stayed in town while on a family vacation to Hershey. Food was really delicious. We started with the pretzel appetizer; it was good, but a little pricey for what you get. I had the pretzel-coated chicken. This was tasty, with a spicey dipping sauce. My husband had the Pork Schnitzel, a really large portion that looked delicious! Both kids had the mac-n-cheese, which was home made and also very good. For dessert, we shared a special for the day - a sundae with chocolate covered pretzels in it - YUM.Now for the beer: Hubby had the stout, which was really smooth without the bitterness often found in stouts. I had the Scots Ale, which was very similar to a Bass Ale, but a little sweet. Tried the Brown ale, which was also very good.Service was outstanding on a Friday night. Didn't have to wait, and it was definitely crowded.
We stayed at the Comfort Inn next door to the brew/pub. With not many restaurants close by (within walking distance), our choices were limited, but we were not disappointed. The food was really good and the service was fine. Their home brewed root beer is delicious and I tried the "Tears of Gettysburg" wine from a local winery...also great. They had a great selection and we would have eaten there again if we weren't always on the go seeing all the sites in Gettysburg.
An all over terrible experience.Food was bad; beer was bad plus warm; service was bad and rude.Would not recommend for anything.
I have been here several times. The food is always tasty, but the service is consistently okay. Parking is a big problem-there is never enough! The tour is interesting if you can do it. It is pretty short, but not available all the time. A great place for twenty and thirty-somethings with bands performing frequently.
The food and the beer were amazing! Definitely worth the stop in Harrisburg!! It is great for lunch or dinner or both. The beer selection was very nice!
I have been here several times and have always enjoyed my visit. The food is always good, the the selection of beers is excellent.
ABC is a local mainstay. I always go to the original one on Cameron street, preferable the Abbey Bar (upstairs) if it is available. Always has had great beer and great music events. ABC has not marketed too far and wide, so the beer truly is local and fresh. Also, the ginger beer is great, and you can make a mean "moscow mule" with it!
Dined here with a couple of friends one of whom lives in the area and suggested it. Great recommendation. I am sure the beer list varies some depending on what they are brewing, but we had an IPA, a barley wine and one other one I can't quite recall and they were all excellent. Food was great too. I had very good crab cakes, one of our group had a burger she raved about the rest of the day, and the sweet potato fries were good and I am picky about those. Will definitely consider another visit the next time I am in the area.
