We still continue to stop here on our way to Lancaster County, only because they have a great book vendor. My husband is usually able to come away with several hardcovers from popular mystery writers, at a graat price. Other than that, it's a waste of time. Back in the day there were many vendors, now it's basically empty & what's left is overpriced & pretty filthy. Word of caution, there is a vendor selling Corningware. Advertised everything half price, but it was pretty obvious they put new stickers over the hold ones & jacked up the price. I know this because I had looked at their dishware 2 weeks before & the prices were lower!!

Not too many vendors, mostly junk. Did not see any antiques. Muddy after a recent rainfall.Would not go back again.

I found this place about five years ago. The settings is very cool, literally in a grove of trees. I've been there a few times and I have enjoyed myself each time. But each time, there appears to be less and less vendors. The "yard sale" the first weekend of each months brings new and fresh vendors. From what I have heard they have changed the rules and it's just not the same as it was. I spoke to one lady who had a permanent tent there for 18 years and who's merchandise I enjoyed at very reasonable prices. She said she loved it initially but the last few years not so much. I will continue to go there and would recommend it to others. I think the best time to go is earlier in the season

I was in the area and looking for things to do. Frommer's recommended Shupp's Grove Antique Market. I went to their website to check what days and hours they were open and couldn't find the information anywhere. From the event schedule it kind of looks like they are only open weekends but I don't see hours listed anywhere. I didn't bother putting this stop on my list of places to go.

We walked around for hours, go early because the best stuff goes fast. The vendors are really nice and friendly. The restaurant is ok, but typical. It's a great way to find whatever you need. Tons & Tons of glassware, gadgets, tools, etc.

It is like entering another world when you go in Shrupps. Antiquing ing the forest....we went in August and found a beautiful china hutch and lovely table ....both for $300

How can i put this. 10 years ago there were maybe 500 dealers, 5 years ago maybe 300 dealers, last year maybe 150 dealers and this year almost dead with maybe 100 dealers left if you're lucky, but last week it was more like 50 dealers and all the regulars are leaving. I have spoke to some of the remaining dealers and many of them blame the quicker decline on the owners new boyfriend who they say ruined what is left of the market and nobody likes him, they claim he is miserable. Shupp's use to be one of our favorite places to take a stroll and fine a nice treasure. not anymore. The dealers have disappeared and the market is 90% empty and the ones that are left are selling lower quality junk for the most part and things that nobody wants. What use to take at least an hour to walk around now takes 15 mins. It's really no longer worth the effort. I would suspect this place will be history in less than 5 years. It's too bad because it use to be so nice.Even during their bottle show a few years ago there would be over 100 bottle dealers this years there was one, we actually only saw one bottle dealer. Pottery theme weekend NOBODY!

We really like this spot out of all in the surrounding area. Come early and seek out the bargains. Clean bathrooms and fairly priced snacks. Good coffee!

Get there early to get the best buys. It is very nice to walk amoung the trees trying to find that treasure you seek. The food court serves large portions of good food and is very comfortable. Lots of parking near either gate.

Out of all the antiques places near Adamstown, PA, Shupps Outdoor Market by far was our favorite. It is in a shady wooded grove (reminded us of a Renaissance Festival location). We recommend you get there when they first open. We arrived near closing time and very few vendors were still open, but we still got some great finds. The selection was good. Prices varied from good deals to overpriced, depending on the vendor.

This is a good market set in a tree covered grove. The number of vendors varies but you can usually find interesting things. Parts of it are up and down hill with large exposed tree roots in the paths so it can be difficult for the handicaped.

This place is just fabulous! A shady property with lots of friendly and helpful vendors. The restrooms are clean, the food kiosks and restaurant are delicious. Parking is easy. Prices are very reasonable with a wide variety of antiques and collectables! Love this place!

If you like flea markets and Re a collector, this is the place to go. Everything vintage is here outside I a lovely wooded grove. Restrooms are large and clean. Friar Tuck's eatery has simple but great tasting food you can eat in an open air setting. There are bargains galore and everyone is willing to deal. Theme weekends bring in additional vendors. Parking is plentiful. A short ride into town reveals many antique malls.

Stroll down memory lane under the trees. just lovely. Great stands! Great prices! Great people and atmosphere! A place to eat .... In summer sometimes strolling musicians .... When weather gets cool a lovely fire in fireplace in eating area. Clean bathrooms beautifully decorated.

We have visited the Grove many times in the past forty years and yesterdays visit was very sad indeed. There were few merchants at the tables and though it was a "Clocks, Watches and Timepieces" themed weekend there was only one vendor with clocks. There were no craftspeople or artist this time, which always added to the charm and excitement of the Grove in the past. I know the economy is bad when you see this happening! Unless you are in the area anyway, this isn't worth the drive (2.5 hours in our case).
